I'm addicted to their creativity - their arrangements are like none other. And of course, their execution is flawless.

VoicePlay take a capella to a whole new level. They are in a league of their own, with their variety. their theatricality. their arrangements of iconic songs and their vocal skills. Just something very special.

Your reaction to Voiceplay is so much fun to watch. They are absolutely amazingly talented. Both Nothing Else Matters and this one were arranged by Geoff Castellucci ((bass). You need to react to a couple arranged by Layne Stein (beatboxer). Go with Valhalla Calling and In the Air Tonight. Then for a change of pace, one arranged by Eli Jacobson (bald tenor) - Creep. He doesn't arrange very often but has assisted with a few. The only other one that's his is Eleanor Rigby that they did three years ago. And be prepared - in a couple of weeks there newest one will drop, unlike anything else you will have seen from them. Trust me. And did we mention that Geoff started his own channel during the pandemic? Check it out. Also a new one dropping in a week or so.

Voiceplay has that kind of cool ability to make you think you heard a full techno band if you were only hearing the song. The last few years they have been going for perfect amazing recordings with accompanied videos vs making arrangements they plan to tour with. Homefree and pentatonix only arrange their covers to also be able to tour with only the 5 parts. Both amazing but there are differences.

This one is the third of their post apocalyptic videos, the first two being Imagine Dragons' Warriors and Aerosmith's Dream On. From what I've read this is filmed in an abandoned store or supermarket in the same building as their studio. Note: They filmed Phil Collins' In the Air Tonight behind the same building. And all the videos I've mentioned are amazing!

If you further proof that they have been this good, which no ever does, you should check out some of their older stuff like: True Colors Bridge Over Troubled Water A Crimpella Phantom of the Opera Season of Love (Voiceplay was the featured singers on this on) Road Trip 😊 Enjoyed the reaction, looking forward to more 😀

Dude, I absolutely love your reactions, they very much echo my own in the way you just start jammin out to it all lol the VoicePlay rabbit hole goes deep and there are a bajillion songs to hear, if you're a gamer they do a ton of songs from games (Dragonborn Comes, Halo theme, Enemy), if you like movies and shows there's a buncha Disney or Running Up That Hill from Stranger Things, the list goes on. Also, Geoff Castellucci the bass singer has his own solo stuff that is definitely worth a listen, like Ain't No Sunshine or House of the Rising Sun. Keep it up man, can't wait to see more VP from you!

Sir, you just got added to my Subscribe list! Voiceplay are indeed a phenomenal band - they're just now getting the recognition they deserve after spending literal years in the long shadow of the more well-known acapella groups like Pentatonix and Home Free (unlike them, Voiceplay are completely independent of any record company, and do everything themselves, from the vocal arrangements to the video production and editing.) I can't wait for you to hear more of their stuff - you won't be disappointed! The last one they dropped was a cover of Radiohead's 'Creep' just over a week ago - again, with Anthony as their guest vocalist. I didn't care much for the original, but Voiceplay have worked their magic on this one and made me LOVE their version of the song.

You need to join their paetron for a month or two. They do behind the scenes videos for each one they release and they’re a riot. The ones for Nothing Else Matters, In The Air Tonight, and this one are my three faves. I lol’d at all three. Also…I love how you were hard vibing while they were just getting started, lol. Subscribed. 😊 Oh, and since you’re still saying things like “the beatboxer”, let me help you out. Beatboxer: Layne Stein Bass: Geoff Castellucci Baritone: Cesar DeLaRosa Tenor: Eli Jacobson. Note: Eli is not pronounced as you’re thinking. It’s short for Eliezer, and it’s pron😊like jelly without the j. So, like the girl’s name Ellie. I’d recommend their covers of Creep by Radiohead, Dream On by Aerosmith and Valhalla Calling by Miracle of Sound.

You obviously become enamored with Acapella groups, which is great now that you've come out from under the rock...don't stop reacting to them !!! However, the ABSOLUTE best cover of Seven Nation Army and Creep would be Haley Reinhart (ftd. on PostModern Jukebox)...she's currently the BEST female vocalist on the planet. Don't believe me, then check her out and prove me wrong !!!!!

It behooves me to introduce you to another very enjoyable rabbithole with this song. Haley Reinhart is arguably the top torch jazz singer in the world and does this same song in new orleans dirge style with postmodern jukebox. It never felt so good to be back in Prohibition.

I have some positive comments and one mild criticism. I think your enjoyment of the music comes through very well. A lot of the reactions I've watched of yours (most of a dozen or so, so far) show that very well. It is definitely fun to watch Voiceplay (and Pentatonix and Home Free) being reacted to, by someone new to their music. All three have years of videos on KZitem that provide not only fun and enjoyment to the audiences of the channels that react to them, but the reacters themselves. My one criticism, and again, it's a mild point, is that while I understand "getting into the music" (you're a reacter, and you should), you look down away from the videos, a LOT. You miss quite a bit of the videos overall doing that. It's as much fun for the audience to watch a reacter react to what they see on the screen as well as what they hear. Some videos are highly visual, along with the great voices. Ones that spring to mind for each of the groups I mentioned are Pentatonix' "Over the River", Voiceplay's "Oogie Boogie", and Home Free's "Brother". The visuals are a key part of experiencing them. Like I said, it's a mild point. You clearly wouldn't do it if you weren't getting into the music/video. I subscribed after watching three or four of your reactions and I'll continue to watch. I think you do a great job overall, and I really really like to watch someone who A) gets into the music and B) KNOWS the music that the video comes from.

I understand the fans want me to react to the music videos and pick up on the visuals but my main focus is the music. I want to my focus to be on purely the talent of the artists and bands. Sure music videos provide cool visuals and story telling to go along with the songs. This is not the first or last time I’ll receive a comment like this. Initially I started playing the music videos to give the KZitem audience something to watch while I reacted to the music but then people like yourself started criticizing me for not watching the music videos. You can’t win on KZitem. It’s hard to please everyone. It’s crazy to think people need to criticize how one listens to music but I digress. To be honest I haven’t watch music videos in years until I started this channel! Comments like these make me wonder if I should just start reacting to the audio versions first then do “music video reactions” just to please fans like yourself.

@@DeskPopDaveReacts Holy crap. I gave, as I said, a MILD criticism, and ALSO gave compliments about the reactions I've seen so far. You didn't mention any of the latter in your whine, though, did you? AND, Sparkles, if you're just staring down and not watching the video..., THEN IT'S A REACTION TO AUDIO. If you have that much of a thin skin over even a mild comment like the one I made, you have no business doing reactions on KZitem. You clearly don't want anything but fawning comments, not honest ones. UNsubscribed. Don't go away mad, Sparkles. Just go away. * click *
