The opening sounded almost like Nordic opera... but then the gospel-like groove kicked in. I enjoyed it as you did. Thanks. And thanks whoever made the suggestion for this group. Nice! 😉

You are correct in that it is a gospel song. The name of the album is 'The Evolution of Gospel'. It was produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, two names you should be very familiar with if you have any knowledge of '80's music. Finally, the sister that was ripping the song apart in the background with all of those runs was the great Ann Nesby, who was literally everywhere in the '80's. Do not feel bad if you cannot get it like her. She is a music legend.

The overture style opening is on the studio version. The radio version goes right into it. But I love both. I remember when this song came out. Still a classic decades later. Too bad they don’t make songs with this message anymore. Great modern reference to Psalms 121 at that time

Discovered that comments are turned off on your reaction video for Stevie Ray Vaughan- Ain’t Gone Give Up On Love. Was this intended? If not, would you change the setting back to "ON"? I also found that I've not been getting notifications, so I re-did my subscription to your channel, unsubscribed then re-subscribed and activated the notification bell setting to "ALL"... which I hope will fix the matter.
