You should check out "Warmth of the sun". Beach Boys 5 part harmonies with Brian Wilson's soaring falsetto. It's a very underrated song and never gets reacted to.

Check out “Sloop John B” which is also from the “Pet Sounds” album. Another song I highly recommend is the Chicago song “Wishing You Were Here” on which members of The Beach Boys sang back-up harmony vocals. It’s a sublime collaboration.

You should listen to their daughters' group called _Wilson Phillips._ It also has one of the couple's daughter from the group The Mamas and the Papas also. Wilson Philips has some good songs and some covers of their parents songs like Good Vibrations. But their songs you should listen to are *You're In Love, and Release Me.*

Little Surfer Girl is my favorite BB song. It came out when I was 8 and my little sister was 4. My older sister played the record all the time. Within a week my little sister could sing every word of it. I was so jealous but I still don't know why lol. Lord I miss those simple days. 💖💖💖

Yes, over and over again. That's what you'd do with a 7" 45rpm single. With a stackable, automatic "Record Player", you could set it to return the stylus (needle) to the beginning of a 45 or 33 1/3 record and it would just keep playing and repeating for as long as you like!

Bryan Wilson stated he suffered from auditory hallucinations for over 40 years.. He would hear these bouncing harmonies in his head, and would try and try to replicate these sounds he heard... He never could get it right.. It really almost broke up the band several times, as he was so demanding about it.. but his illness made the sound we hear... crazy... he was almost like a auditory rain man... Great reaction. Thank you. 😊

I first discovered The Beach Boys in 1962 while watching American Bandstand. I was 4 years old and would watch Bandstand everyday with my Mother, and then The Beach Boys are on and they’re singing Surfer Girl. I loved the harmonies, the melodies, etc., just the music, because I was only 4 at the time.

Been missing you! 1966 Beach Boys are so awesome and talented!! There are a few of the songs that had the keyboards being played by Captain, from Captain and Tennell. Darryl I believe was his name. Keep going down this trail of Beach Boys. So many amazing great songs, even into the 1990's they had hits. Those late 50's and 60's songs. Amazing!! Surfin songs are such fun! Their harmonies are so great.

Yes, their music is timeless. I was a teenager in the late 70's/early 80's and we wore out their albums, and I remember them coming to Washington, D.C. in the early 80's to do a huge concert on the mall - tons of people!

This track is SO good it survives being used incessantly to promote Sky Mobile here in the UK. OTOH Lily James is the actor Sky uses 😛 (which helps) The mid '60s were great - not only these guys and the Beatles but the Stones, Who, Kinks, Motown, Stax, etc. etc. etc.

Radio in the old days really limited the time of songs. Over 3½ minutes, and radio wouldn't play it. Brian Wilson wrote complete symphonies in three minutes. It's just brilliant.

This is my favourite Beach Boys song although I love listening to them all. Your reactions were wonderful to watch Jayvee and I could see how much you enjoy listening to them, you were so right in what you said too, they are a joy to hear and make me feel like a youngster again lol. I always associate summer with the Beach Boys and they make me think of hot sands and the cold water of the North Sea where the members of my family spent a week having fun each year. The Wrecking Crew not only played the instruments on many beach boys song along with Brian Wilson (Pet sounds) but they were the studio band for almost every popular song you can think of from the 50’ 60’ and 70’. Carol Kaye the bass player in the Wrecking crew laid down the bass lines for 10,000 songs. almost every classic song you hear other than actual bands . Wrecking back lined Sam Cooke , Righteous brothers, Tina turner, Simon and Garfunkel,glen Cambell, joe cocker, Nancy Sinatra,Ritchie valens,Sonny and Cher, the beach boys, the monkees , tv theme songs. I was lucky enough to see The Beach Boys here in the UK In 1972. They were amazing although when we managed to get backstage after the concert, they were pretty much shitfaced on Newcastle Brown Ale judging by the amount of empty bottles 😂. They never made a bad song and were the true masters of harmonies, no one came close to being so tight on their harmonies. Brian Wilson is a genius.

The Beach boys song God only knows and Sloop John B were my two favorites. It was 1966 and my family and I were emigrating to New Zealand from England. We traveled by ship which took 6 weeks, they used to play the beach boys amongst other music on board the ship. The following year I was taking my lunch break from work ( I was 17) in Wellington and who did I see in the street mall, yes it was the Beach Boys! I couldn't believe my eyes. They were chatting to a group of people and signing autographs. So of course I joined in. I didn't want to go back to work, 🤣❤

Brian Wilson was a genius. Im 60 and still listening in 2023!! Onee of my favoritegroupsp in that genre. Yes, Beach Boy was 1st!!❤ Beatles said this song was one of the greatest!!

Brian is the only true American musical genius of the past 60 years. Nobody in the history of music like him. Even his post-Beach Boys music is often amazing.
