Is it reggae rock? I definitely can see where you'd get that idea from due to the vibe of it. 80's music was definitely some of the more creative times in music and had some unique sounds being utilized especially instruments like synths that aren't really used after that time period. Random comment just vibing and getting some thoughts out. I love reggae especially groups like Steel Pulse just wish it was more extensive since the only really notable reggae artist is mostly Bob Marley. Dancehall is also alright but the culture of it isn't the greatest and can be occasionally hateful but I've heard some dancehall that I've enjoyed. Kind of getting carried away so I'll just it here. Haha. Peace.

Did you get tired of them? Overexposure made me dislike lots of songs. But not by the Police. Except maybe Every Breath You Take. In USA, I keep finding great UK bands from this era. But I've gotten much deeper into harsh diy stuff like Napalm Death, CRASS, etc. Btw you know Klark Kent? Stewart Copeland's solo alias from the late 70's!

The drummer is Stewart Copeland. He is one of the greatest rock drummers of all time. Many people don't appreciate him because he isn't flashy, but he lays down a fat groove with his own style. His playing is often very complex but it's subtle, he doesn't try to take over. It's cool you picked up on what he was doing here. The later stuff from the Police is much more basic, but on those early records he cuts loose a lot more. He's a huge part of what makes them a great band and why nobody else sounds like them. Try their track Walking On The Moon & you'll see what I mean. His drum track is crazy & super cool. It totally makes the song.

This British band rocked the charts in their day . Stewart Copeland played drums with magic brilliance. Andy Summer’s played precision riffs. Sting played bass and sand lead vocals . They ruled MTV. My little kids and I would dance around the house to this catchy regee beat …so cool you are listening to one of the most influential bands of its time . Still is . This is pure talent .

maybe flys can smell food or sugar coming from your breath.mouth & nose and that attracts them. message in a bottle saying come save me sos(save our souls) is what you do if your stranded on an deserted island hoping a ship will pick it up and find you.in this case he feels alone(on his own desert island)and has put a messege out telling people how he feels hoping someone will save him.love him.he feels he's the only one who feels this way.but when he wakes the next day he finds there are lots of people who feel exactly the same and have also sent out the same message.now he knows he maybe lonely but he's not alone in feeling that.

The genius of Sting is that he made dark songs become big hits around the world. This song tackles depression and alcoholism- the call for help and despair. These songs made The Police one of the most iconic bands and one of the most revolutionary bands ever. The Police were the biggest band of 1980s and they had the biggest tour ever during that time.

Not the biggest fan of the police but glad I checked it out enjoyed it more then I thought I would was fun to revisit it and see someone else experience it. Quality 80's music. The other person is different than having your girlfriend on but he seems pretty cool and its always nice to get other people involved in the channel. Real beachy vibes, doesn't necessarily make me nostalgic but it definitely evokes certain emotions which are worthwhile. Can't remember how many of your videos Ive seen but I always enjoy coming back to your channel when I want to have a fresh experience with music that Ive listened to and enjoyed. Thanks for the content and peace.

Your younger brother might not know about the older concept of a message on a bottle and throwing it in the ocean... Then it washes up somewhere else in the world in another beach and someone else finds it, opens the bottle and reads the message inside. That's what he was referring to. The young generation probably doesn't know of that older concept.
