Literally one of the coolest dudes in the history of the music industry. I miss him still. Serm him 4 times and so sad will never get the chance again , but so happy I got to see him. All 4 concerts were absolute kickass too. The Heartbreakers are one of the tightest sounding bands ever.

I love the live performances of this song, it really gives Mike Campbell on the guitar to really shine (the studio recording is great but it fades out on his solo). It's the ultimate driving song! I think you've checked out a few of their songs, but I hope after this you really dig in and react to more. Their catalog is so rich. Lots of great suggestions already made.

Mike Campbell is one of the most underrated guitarists ever EVER. The songs don't allow him to showcase his deep catalog of skills, but at a live show he can add solos etc. Amazingly talented band.

The True definition of a Rock n Roller ,Tom Petty ! His videos are legendary. Live performances taped not always the best sound quality. The heart breakers are amazing!

Tom petty has a large catalog of good songs. This one I consider pretty good. Others to check out are: I Won't Back Down, Stop Draggin' My Heart Around, Learning to Fly, Don't Come Around Here No More, American Girl, Refugee, You Got Lucky, Breakdown, The Waiting, Don't Do Me Like That, Mary Jane's Last Dance, You Don't Know How it Feels, While My Guitar Gently Weeps(cover).

You should go deeper in his catalog. Outside his radio hits are dozens of tracks that are amazing. Dogs on the Run, Rebels, Insider, The best of Everything, lost in your eyes, have love will travel, wildflowers and his work with MudCrutch at the end of his career was really great.

This whole concert was a 30th anniversary hometown concert in Gainesville Florida it's on DVD plus the documentary about the forming of the band. If you ever get to watch both you won't be disappointed! Stevie Nick's also is a guess artist at the concert just awesome. You have to listen to them do Insider amazing.

Another Icon whom I got to know and love his music from the time I became a teenager right as the 80s kicked off! Sadly another music giant from my youth that is now playing in that rock and roll band in heaven. What a driving beat, and that guitar solo!! you just gotta jam!! I'm still runnin down a dream... Me and my family were lucky to see Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 6-7 times over the years. Always a great show, so many great songs. Tom was a great songwriter, along with Mike Campbell, they were definitely worth the price of admission. Miss Tom everyday. Check out some of their other songs, you’ll enjoy them.

I've seen them live several times. You know they have a lot of hits when they're into the 13th song at a show and everyone is still singing every word. I miss him and the band terribly.

I saw them I want to say three times, the last time was on their last tour just a short time before Tom's passing. They were so incredible and the crowd was always super into it. I'm sad that he's gone but I'm so grateful that I have the memories of seeing him perform before it happened.

One of my favorite bands. All the members of the Heartbreakers are incredible musicians. In this song the keyboards of Benmont Tench and especially the guitar of Mike Campbell shine more. Like all top bands, the live version is often better than the studio version

Great musicians.....and when i saw them in concert that solo went on for 5 minutes long...Y'all!!!! The guitar player and piano players tore it up!!! What you didn't in the video is Tom taking a bow to the audience and saying as he is bowing repeatedly......."Thank you very much.....you guys are too kind....Thank you!!!" after every song he did....he would bow and say that....Hahahaha...lol...hahaha..I miss him!!! Tom Bro.....R.I.P.

Tom was great. Especially in concert!! He has so many for you to react to. My favorite is REFUGEE. This is a close 2nd. I loved him in the super group The Traveling Wilbury's too. We lost him too young! 66 years old. That's 1 year younger than me! Oh man.

At 16 I thought I would marry Tom lol. His music kept me somewhat sane growing up in a severely dysfunctional family. When he played in TX I went to the show. I took my son to a show on his last tour & my son fell for Tom's music. He is so missed by his fans. Mike Campbell is a very underrated guitarist imo. My fav song wasn't played on radio - "Wild One Forever".

That looks like video from the 2006 Tom Petty tour and I was at their concert in St Louis summer of 2006 that was awesome. During this tour Tom Petty had his good friend singer Stevie Nicks join him onstage to sing their duet “ Stop Dragging My Heart Around “ that was amazing too. Look up Mike Campbell ( guitar) and . Benmont Tench ( piano) they are both brilliant musicians. Mike is responsible for the sick guitar part on this song. And a lot of other Tom Petty songs.

Love Tom Petty...loved watching his videos on MTV as a preteen, teenager and then MTV went down hill. Tom has so many great songs. Won't back down, American girl, stop dragging my heart around and the list goes on. He was also part of the Traveling Wilburys.

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers were a great American rock band formed in 1976. They had a lot of great hits such as "Refugee", "The Waiting", "Learning To Fly", "American Girl", "Mary Jane's Last Dance", "Don't Do Me Like That", "You Got Lucky", "Change Of Heart", "I Need To Know" & "Listen To Her Heart". In 1989 Petty went solo & had quite a few hits such as "I Won't Back Down", "Free Fallin'", "A Face In The Crowd" & "Yer So Bad. He was also part of the supergroup "Travelling Willburys" in 1988.

Privileged to have seen Mr. Petty on more than one occasion. We took our daughter to see him for her ninth birthday. She is 36 now and still talks about it.

Yeah Tom and the Boys have lots of really great songs, and their live sound is always the best! I've seen them in concert several times, and it was always a great show. I saw their very last shows, at the Hollywood Bowl, and had an excellent time. Tom passed away the following week... 😔🙏

In the first stanza the lyrics reference driving and listening to Del Shannon singing "Little Runaway" on the radio. Nice homage to early "Rock and Roll" Love this song, my favorite from TP & Heartbreakers! Check out the Traveling Wilburys ; "End of the Line" & Handle with Care". The group consisted of; George Harrison (Beatles), Jeff Lynne (Electric Light Orchestra), Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty. You'll enjoy.

"Free Falling" is an awesome one of Tom Pettys. Tom was also part of the Travelin' Wilburys. He has also done some duos with Stevie Nicks. We lost Tom just a few years ago. RIP Tom.
