First time home buyers this true grant program, can give you up to $17,500 dollars, and does not have to be paid back! This program from Bank of America could be exactly what you need to buy a home in 2022. They have pledged 15 billion dollars through 2025 through the Americas Community Home Ownership Commitment Grant. The goal is to help over 60,000 individuals and families to buy homes. And they are focused on low to moderate income communities in 260 cities and counties in the United States.
What does this mean?
This homebuyer assistance program gives down payment assistance and closing cost assistance. If you want to buy a house in 2022, this could be the boost you need to become a homeowner in this housing market!
In this video, I will go deep and dive into the steps you need to do, in order to qualify and get your mortgage approved. Even if you are not a 1st time home buyer, you could still buy a home using this program. The qualifying states are...
1) Arizona 2) Arkansas 3) California 4) Colorado 5) Connecticut 6) Delaware 7) District of Columbia 8) Florida 9) Georgia 10) Idaho 11) Illinois 12) Indiana 13) Iowa 14) Kansas 15) Maine 16) Maryland 17) Massachusetts 18) Michigan 19) Minnesota 20) Missouri 21) Nevada 22) New Hampshire 23) New Jersey 24) New Mexico 25) New York 26) North Carolina 27) Ohio 28) Oklahoma 29) Oregon 30) Pennsylvania 31) Rhode Island 32) South Carolina 33) Tennessee 34) Texas 35) Utah 36) Virginia 37) Washington
Even though 88% of those who get this grant are first-time home buyers, you don't necessarily have to be a first-time home buyer to qualify! This grant does NOT have to be paid back, but you must physically live in the home for at least 1 year. In order to qualify a credit score of 640 score or better is required. That's great news, because many who could use this assistance, may not have the best credit scores, especially in 2022.
In the current housing market, it may be hard for many prospective house buyers to become 1st time home buyers. This program is designed to help more low to moderate-income buyers become a home owner and stop paying rent to a landlord.
Bank of America is working to help people become first-time homeowners through an initiative targeting low- and moderate-income communities. To date, the company has helped over 33,000 homeowners buy homes and has given out $270 million-plus in grants. Aspiring homeowners can still achieve the American Dream even now in a hot housing market.
