Beyblade animes are such a fun journey. The franchise comes from 1999, the first animated series was aired in 2001 and went up to 2004. That wraps the first generation called Bakuten Shoot Beyblade (Explosive Shoot Beyblade). After that, the franchise went into an hiatus and came back as Metal Fight Beyblade in the second generation, released in 2008, with the anime airing from 2009 to 2012. Another hiatus came and Beyblade Burst, the third generation, was released in 2015, with the anime being on TV from 2016 to 2021. Now we're in the fourth generation, Beyblade X, with the anime running on Japanese TVs from october 2023. Each generation is different, not compatible among them, they all have their own systems and gimmicks as well as rules for the different games. Beyblade is really big in Asia and does really well around the world. As I said, quite a fun journey. Also, each generation got their own series. Bakuten Shoot Beyblade / Beyblade (2001) Beyblade 2002 / Beyblade V-Force (2002) Beyblade G-Revolution (2003) Metal Fight Beyblade / Beybalde Metal Fusion (2009) Metal Fight Beyblade Baku / Beyblade Metal Masters (2010) Metal Fight Beyblade 4D / Beyblade Metal Fury (2011) Metal Fight Beyblade Zero G / Beyblade Shogun Steel (2012) Beyblade Burst (2016) Beyblade Burst God / Beyblade Burst Evolution (2017) Beyblade Burst Cho-Z / Beyblade Burst Turbo (2018) Beyblade Burst GT / Beyblade Burst Rise (2019) Beyblade Burst Sparking / Beyblade Burst Surge (2020) Beyblade Burst Dynamite Battle / Beyblade Burst QuadDrive (2021) Beyblade Burst QuadStrike (2022) Beyblade X (2023) It's funny that QuadStrike is the only Beyblade series made specifically for the West, because of Hasbro's products. Edit: there are some spin offs as BeyWhellz, BeyWarriors: BeyRaiderz and BeyWarriors: Cyborg that aren't about Beyblades, that I'm not counting on the main line. And, as you can see, yep, Beyblade is big. It's an almost 25 year old franchise of high performance spinning tops with crazy gimmicks and so much fun to play! I've been a fan since 2003, started actually collecting "only" 10 years ago and i can't get enough, it's just so cool! I'm so glad to see your hype for the openings. Can't wait to see the Japanese ones! Have a great one, man. Loved the content!

Basically, it's like normal beyblade battles where you need to knock your opponent into immobility, except characters have supernatural levels of control of their beyblades, which can also have powerful spirits that can be summoned to help fight. I only ever watched the original version of beyblade (several seasons of it), so I don't know if further series change it up further, though.

I watched the second series (Metal fusion/fury) and basically special beys are made of different type of metal Gingka (MC) has one made by the metal of a meteorite, each bit beast is one of the 88 constellations and 8 planets being the strongest, so their power comes from the stars I know that shogun steel is a direct sequel but idk if they kept that theme

The old Beyblade anime (Season 1 and 3 with the old gang of Tyson, Kai, Max, Ray and Kenny) were my childhood. Watched it everytime I came home from school on TV (also Pokemon and One Piece). The newer ones, starting from the 2nd opening you reacted to in this video, are also good, but for me they never came close to being as amazing as the oldschool show. Probably because of nostalgia.

Some fun facts: Beyblade Burst Turbo and Beyblade Burst Quad-Drive’s themes is sung by Nathan Sharp (aka Natewantstobattle) who first got popular due to his cover songs and Pokémon parody songs on KZitem. He’s also done a song for Sonic Frontiers and made an original song with Kellen Quinn (who sang the boss themes in Sonic Frontiers). Beyblade Burst Rise’s theme song is sung by Jonathan Young (not Paul Stanley😆), who is well known for his metal covers of songs from a variety of mediums (video games, anime, Disney, etc) on KZitem. Also, the ones you listened to in this vid are the full versions, which I appreciate!😄

Nathan Sharp is awesome. I watched the stream for Sonic Symphony where Sega did all the classic games' songs with a full orchestra, then they did the modern games' songs and when they brought in Nathan Sharp for guest vocals I screamed because I was so excited. Then for him to get the hard-mode end credits in Frontiers... it's so flipping cool to see someone you've been listening to from their self-published songs get that kind of recognition!

Yeah, Beyblade’s pretty big. There are entire channels dedicated to Beyblade products & the anime as well as official championships. So the spirits in the Beyblade’s are real, but sometimes they’re moreso a projection of technology. But in some iterations, they are fully real, & they bond with their owner to make the Beyblade’s hit harder than the ones we buy at the store. Also, many KZitemrs did these openings. The one that you thought was Paul Stanley was actually Jonathan Young, an anime cover artist.

Just to clarify that each of these Beyblade Anime are all stand-alone from each other. But all just has the same concept of being "Beyblade". Pretty much like how there are a lot of version of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Digimon. For some reason I never really got into the later versions for all of them. Only with Digimon I went until the 3rd (4th) serie until I "kind of dropped" the serie. However there are the Tri. version which is a far years later sequel to the original. the 2nd season's will get its far years later sequel soon as well. Back to Beyblade, I do recommend you to react to the Original Beyblade serie's English OST tracks. Like All Across The Nation, Let's Go Beybladers, Never Gonna Take Me Down, Rise Above the Storm, Round And Round, Swing Low, Switchblade, Underdog

Beyblade G-Revolution Metal Gen: 4. Beyblade Metal Fusion 5. Beyblade Metal Masters 6. Beyblade Metal Fury 7. Beyblade Shogun Steel Burst Gen: 8. Beyblade Burst 9. Beyblade Burst Evolution 10. So for 3 of your questions: -I would not be surprised at all if Beyblades were still a thing you can buy. No idea about stores though, cause I haven't bought anything in toy store for ages. -on the anime story: I can only speak off the original series, since I never saw any later seasons, but the bit beasts were very much a real thing. They inhabit the beyblades, and physically interact with the beyblade fight. Maybe we should eventually vote for the first season of Beyblade as a Twitch watchalong. If it is available to watch anywhere, that is. -and yes, they build their own beyblades in the anime. They even do way more crazy modification than real life beyblades. Oh, and also, just in general, cause you immidiately assumed the JP ones were gonna be better: The Openings are the one exception to the rule on the sub vs dub war. Nobody ever said dub openings were necessarily worse than the original. And it doesn't make a difference if they do dub versions of the JP openings, or if they do original openings. Like, one of the most iconic openings in anime history is the internationally used Pokemon theme, that has tons of different language versions. Most people don't even know the JP opening, and even with the JP one being good, the international one is way better. Really, the only show I can think of that fucked up on the opening in English specifically was Digimon, cause the English opening is atrocious, and the original JP opening is fucking amazing. Still glad we got a German version of the JP opening for the German dub back then.

I know these OPs are probably nostalgic for a lot of people but I grew up with the original Japanese OPs/EDs so not gonna lie, kind of disappointed this wasn't a reaction video for those. Glad for the guy who requested for this though and I'm happy you at least were able to get a glimpse of what the anime is like. I do hope the Japanese OPs get a video here, too maybe? Those songs are different from the english ones. I grew up watching the original Beyblade series and our parents had bought us each our own beys. We has a cheap plastic arena that unsurprisingly broke after a while and just used frying pans in the house later lol. I saldy had to throw away all my broken beyblades years later cause we were cleaning up and just kept the bit chips. I want to request a reaction to the Yugioh OPs (the Japanese ones! There are compilations for them), please. Digimon as well (the Japanese ones). I'm from an asian country and didn't grow up with the English songs but from what I've seen, they didn't translate the original OPs and just made their separate ones so making a separate reaction video for japanese and english OPs would be a unique experience each.

in case nobody mentioned it before: the opening where you wondered if its performed by paul stanley was actually performed by jonathan young, a musician who also does youtube with basically everything he sings being masterclass. he even got recognition of the japanese audience for his cover song of my hero acdemia. really recommending giving him a follow

Bayblade came right off the 90's with the first season starting in 2001. The toys came out in 1999. You can even still buy the toys today, which says alot about the relative popularity of it.

The powers and stuff in Beyblade are diegetic. At one point a bey created a literal portal to hell that started ripping out his opponents sole. That’s not even the craziest thing that happens either.

I don’t know if anyone else has said what the show is actually about, but giving the basic premise (as far as I’m aware of, anyways, I haven’t kept up with the series): - beyblading is a popular pastime and national sport worldwide - beybladers have the ability to will their spinning blades to not only clash with each other, but also take various different actions, like fleeing, chasing, hiding, destroying infrastructure, etc. - the central characters and their various rivals in each series have powerful ancient or artificial spirits (known as bitbeasts) dwelling within their beyblades that basically supercharge their beyblades and give them various supernatural or destructive powers. Their powers can be harnessed directly or used in creative ways. - fighting spirit of the beybladers directly affect the level of power the bit beasts can display As for the plot and goals of each series, I wouldn’t know. I’ve only watched all the seasons of the first series characters as a kid. The rest I’ve only seen glimpses of. That being said, the soundtrack of the dub of the original Beyblade series is definitely one of my favorites, and I hope you react to the other songs as well, like Underdog, Switchblade, Swing Low, All Across the Nation, etc.

Funnily enough beyblade was really big when I was in third grade. And I have over 300 different bayblades. I think I have like 360 somewhere around there.

Hey, you should react to the Umineko soundtrack as it is one of if not the best soundtracks ever made. Some personal recommendations would be worldenddominator, goldenslaughterer, and thanks for being born.

19:28 well to answer that bey blade has multiple anime’s. That first one was from the classic gen from the early 2000’s. The second and third is from the metal series. Burst was the longest of the bunch only ended recently. But it’s basically anthology series. First 2 seasons one main character but afterwards nearly every season had its own protagonist

One of the best and perhaps biggest Beyblade I used to own was this one that's actually capable of emitting sparks when it hits things. Apart from its body, it had this 6-armed spiral of golden metal with something on the tips that creates sparks when scratched. That thing was short-lived though. Ripped a little too hard one day, collided with a wall, and BAM. That thing was in pieces lol

The OST for the first series just hits different. Most of them were a bit cheesy because they were about beyblade but that had its charm
