Thanks you for making it to this song brother. Ive made HUGE strides in my mental health and struggle with addiction. This song has made things so much more managable. Figured id pay you for buying the album 😊 4 minutes in and im trying not to spam comment. This is my favortie reaction channel for ren. Ive never "super chatted" until now. Knox hill is where i bought merch 1st, rens the first independant artist ive supported finacially. Youre in that group of firsts for me. I hope that really does make a difference in how you think about what youre doing, as its made a huge impact in my life. Thank you brother. Ill hit you up on instagram soon.

Thanks for reacting to this one. It's heavy and I do relate, but thankfully I had a better doctor than Ren had. Different illness, but when you're young, sick and in pain it just sucks. Now decades later I'm fighting different medical battles and I wonder how the hell the medical industry has gotten so messed up.

I have chronic Lyme and a very rare nuerological autoimmune disease as a result of years of misdiagnosis... Ren's story is so relatable. I just cry listening to most of his songs because I have never felt like anybody understood what it was like.... to be stuck in a body that feels like it's trying to kill you and to have doctors not believe you or tell you it's in your head. I was diagnosed and treated for Lyme around 5 years ago but because I had it for so long my body started producing an extremely rare antibody called gAChR. Because of this I continued to get worse even after treating Lyme... Finally this year (after over a decade of being sick) I received a diagnosis and started treatment. I say all this to say that even recovery messes with your head. The ups and downs... the level of mistrust you develop towards your body. Ren puts it all into words when I could never....Thank you for introducing me to Ren, Cliff!

Ren says his hard drive is a mine field with 1000 song ideas or partially recorded songs, lots of them done when he was bed ridden or house bound. Sick Boi is pretty much a concept album and you only have to go back and listen to his older songs like Fire to think that he’s going to release loads of gold in the coming years.

"Peaked", who Ren? 🤣He is just getting started. He is starting to feel better, he will always live in pain but like he said in his Zack interview, he doesn't know what it's like to live WITHOUT pain because it has been so many years with it. Bones feeling sore is just the normal. He can sing every genre, rap and play multiple instruments excellent, he will never peak, it will just keep broadening. Only his competition hopes and wishes he would peak and disappear.

If you were in hellacious agony and someone asked you how you were doing, what would you say? I believe Ren did slip into the ethers, that he rose to death. When you have been there, you know. In 1990, I was given 3-5 years to live. Part of me is still here, part still there.
@lajoyous1568

I hear that. Without boring you with details I've suffered years of chronic pain and never know if someone asking how I'm doing actually wants to know at all. Periods of remission are actually almost as hard as living with the pain because I don't trust it. If I get used to it will it end... apparently yes. I'm very glad to hear that you got more time than your doctors said. I hope they haven't all been difficult years.❤
@docdurdin

@@lajoyous1568 Ren has certainly brought the fringe edge of unspoken agony to the front. Most suffer silently, or give up. Like Ren, I was fortune to new experimental treatment , told that it would probably kill me. As you said, remissions are evil and keep you suspended in hell. Is the cure worse than the sickness, we ask, sometimes, yes.
