Yes, i bought this single at spring 1982, i was only 13. One of the best song of secret service with "Oh Suzie", "let us just dance a little bit more" & "When the night closes in".

It's been one of my favourite songs ever since it came out and, over 40 years later, I'm still a huge Secret Service fan. I have ALL their albums and 7" singles on vinyl (but only two 12" singles).

The singer Ola Håkansson is a renowned songwriter. He has recorded a lesser known duet with Agnetha Fältskog from ABBA that is actually very good - ”The way you are” , used at the time for the application for Winter Olympics. Try it out!

Oh Susie and LA Goodbye was huge success in Brazil when I was a child, so was the Way you are in the ending of 80's. But I recommend you the Dutch group Pussycats, their songs Mississipi and Georgie are pure 70's gold!

Anecdote totalement inutile et inintéressante qui parlera aux moins jeunes d'entre nous : cette musique était utilisée en France dans l'émission " Vous pouvez compter sur nous" présenté par Pierre Bellemare sur TF1 en 1981 et 1982.

Hi Dereck! Thank you for reacting to this Secret Service song, one of those songs that represents a part of my childhood in the early 80's! You made my day once again!😃👍 Like Visage with "Fade To Grey" (1980) and Kim Carnes "Bette Davis Eyes" (1981), this is one of the radio songs I heard the most when I was little. This song I had often told you about it and commented on the link. Unfortunately it isn't the one I gave! It was a very huge hit in France, ranked no.6 in 1981 but also in Europe taken from their third album "Cutting Corners" released in 1982. With us, this title even served as the theme music for the television show "Vous Pouvez Compter Sur Nous" (You Can Count On Us), presented by Pierre Bellemare (passed away in 2018) on TF1 in 1981 and 1982. On certain pressings of the 45 RPM it was even specified on the cover, written inside an arrow. You can easily find this cover on Google.😉 However, the person who gave you the link didn't give you the correct version of the song. The videoclip is the original but we feel that it is an "audio transfer"! Also at the end of the song we have children's choirs!! We hear "Yaya yaya yaya....". At some point at the end the male singer "mimes" the children's choirs! -;) You'll find out when you listen to the original version on Spotify! M/V link : www.dailymotion.com/video/xd5pa The song exists in 12" version! It's SICK and INSANE! You'll like it! Unavailable on theb plateform. Extended Version (1981) : kzitem.info/news/bejne/1Y55v4ifjZWKqWk You also have the Album Version (5'12) which is a little different of the 7" single (45 RPM). Available on Spotify. And remember it was them who produced Jakie Quartz's song "Vivre Ailleurs"-Live Elsewhere (1986) that you really liked last year during your react! Very synthpop wave song! 😉😁 M/V link : kzitem.info/news/bejne/zquJyKGgpYuLf4Y Do you also know that Ysa Ferrer covered this song in French in August 1999. The single was recorded in Sweden and produced by Tim Norell (author of the original 1981 version) and Ulf Wahlberg. TV show link : kzitem.info/news/bejne/w6R7ral4b6SkmW0 Thanks for your amazing job our Frenchie American crony.👍🇫🇷
