Awesome reaction. Fun fact - she never had piano lessons or learned notes, so she always play by ear. And knowing that she learned this song 30 min before she performed it, makes it even more impressive.

Another of the NRK P3 sessions with Christine. She went for a interview and to promote one of her songs and the 'price' was that she was given a list of songs/bands to choose a cover to do ... She thought the name 'Imagine Dragons' was cool, the idea of dragons struck her but she knew nothing of the group or song. About 30 minutes later this happened 😮😍

Knew you would love this one, so haunting and totally different feel to the song . Aurora doesn't need to do covers because she has a massive catalogue of her own but I am so glad she does. Wait till you here her and her band doing across the universe beatles cover you are in for a treat, again great reaction keep em coming.

Great reaction. The last 10 seconds are my absolute favorite first because of her delicate vocal color she adds to the ending piano phrase, and second the way in the very last second you get a glimpse of her intentions as she decides when exactly to end and hesitantly pull her hands away. As you noticed it matches her "ok, I've decided I am done with this work of art now" face. It really screams top tier artist to me.

At 5:16 in this video when she looks up, you can sense she is looking around checking what's going on in the room, because she is completely immersed in the music while playing, so she is not aware what else is going on around. You can see this in several other live performances. It's another cover on P3 radio station that she rehearsed while being in the studio, you can see she has the lyrics on the paper on the piano. She didn't know "Imagine Dragons" before this, she has said many times that she is bad at knowing other music, and she does not listen to as much music as you might think, because she is always playing around with her own melodies and lyrics in her head, it gets to be too much. Here is a quote from the radio show that day: youtu . be / q_-ZDDFt_zA&t=1453s (CC for Eng Subs) "- In the choice of songs you could cover, you chose "Imagine Dragons", what was the reason for that? Aurora: Ok, I know I do not know new music very well, as everyone probably knows. I looked at your list, and then I saw the name "Imagine Dragons". I've never heard of them before, so I thought it was such a cool name. I am very... I think dragons are damn cool, yay! I wasn't too prepared for their name, and "Believer" was a nice title. So I thought it is probably lyrics I dare to sing."

@@steveogreact Though I should have mentioned that this cover was done on Apr 27th 2017, only 3 months after "Believer" was released (Feb 1st 2017), so it was still a pretty new song at the time.

Yay! I’m so glad you reacted to this amazing cover😍😍 And thanks for an awesome week, to bad it’s over😔❤️ Yeah tricky, but even more trickier when she actually didn’t know the song or the band until an hour before singing it live. And it’s mind blowing that she’s self taught when it comes to singing and playing piano 😳💕 She said this at the radio station P3: “I'm not very good with new music as you probably all know. I also went through their list of songs and saw the name Imagine Dragons. I hadn't heard of them before and thought it was such a cool name - DRAGONS ARE SO COOL!” She’s such a great artist and performer, I never get tired of her, and I’ve been a fan since 2014❤️ I know you’re not finished reacting to her, and she has soooo many songs left for you 😉👍💕

Another P3 cover. I am happy they have this challenge with covers as few covers was made there by Aurora and maybe it would not be made if not this cover challenge :). And her covers are so interesting and beautiful :). And you can even see it is this within one hour challenge as she has notes on a piano :). Funny thing she choose that song as she like Dragons (and fantasy books which i can relate as as also read a lot of fantasy and Sf books :) ). If you like to see her on a piano but in an original unreleased song I would also recommend Animal Soul version from P3. This is one of my favorite unreleased songs from her :). kzitem.info/news/bejne/x5dr24qKhZmXnI4 Ps. Also thank you for another interesting Auroras reaction and the whole week 'thing' :).

No offence intended...why do so many female artists have this sort of namely tone....and changing the vowels of words. I know there is an incredible range in singing like whispering....such ranges I don't think could be sung without a microphone. I haven't had the chance to listen to more than a few songs in the last 10 years.

Gorgeous performance! Haunting and beautiful at the same time. A really fine, detailed reaction to Aurora's cover of 'Believer'. Her piano playing is remarkable for someone self-taught. Thanks, Steve, for your awesome week of Aurora reactions! Have you gotten a moment to listen to the link that I posted in the comments, back in your reaction to 'Forgotten Love'? Please, come back for more Aurora. There are four more great covers: The Beatles - 'Across the Universe' - kzitem.info/news/bejne/u5hq2X2fgH6JqZg Boney M - ' Rasputin' - kzitem.info/news/bejne/qY2axYJjcqBogYI Naughty Boy, ft. If you plan to react to more of her older original stuff, i would recommend Winter Bird. I am partly into the song because of the music video where they use autonomous drones. There is a behind the scene video of how they created that music video. Cant link it because comments tends to be deleted right away. My interest in the music video probably has a lot to do with me working on autonomous robots and artificial intelligence. Fun song though even if its not one of my absolute favorites by her.
