True, but I think it's more about giving composers a platform untethered to what will sell. That platform is also open to any genre anf is constantly being searched through~ Kikuo's songs have gotten me through a lot but I never would have found them if not for searching for new vocaloid songs
@marcelloalmeida5800

This song is a cover from Kikuo, an japanese producer that mostly uses vocaloid for his compositions. Due to the nature of vocaloid (an digital voice synthesizer), the vocal lines tends to get real wild since they dont have the restraints of a real, human voice. Knowing that, you can appreciate way more the work of ado and many other Utaites (japanese singers who do covers from vocaloid/games/animes/j-pop on nico nico douga and youtube) since they bring their own spin on really difficult songs that already have such power originally. thank you so much for your reactions, i love your deep analysis on how the voice works, and while not being a singer myself, the tips really helps even if im just goofing around singing in the shower

Ado's range of emotional performance is perfect for this song which is basically the unhinged rant of a neglected child growing up into an attention seeker but never being able to have the void filled. The dainty whispering she does reflects this perfectionist persona the child creates in order to gain affection that then bursts into strait up screams of anger and frustration when she finally gets what she wants but is never satisfied. Ado perfectly displayed the tragedy of the song to the most extreme and we love her for that!

Breaking down Ado's cover for this one really let me take in the emotion for each technique she use. This song title is "Love me, Love me, Love me" and is essentially about the insatiable desire of wanting more love and the person this song is directing to "isn't enough". So it really gave a mentally unstable vibe, which is what I get from Ado's choice of using very contrasting techniques from one part to the next. Ado is really good at putting emotions on lyrics imo. So even without understanding the lyrics, we can still get the vibe of the song.

I think it's fun to compare Ado's loveka with songs with a similar atmosphere. In addition, it is a song sung for the second time after the debut. This "loveka?" The song is about the theme of blind love, so a deep-sea fish loveka appears in the video. This time, I was singing a song with the theme of wanting to be loved by someone who can't turn around. It seems like it's on purpose that it sounds painful

I think that when people go over songs in languages they are unfamiliar with they should look at the lyrics in their language, because for aishite aishite aishite, the way ado sings these lyrics are because of the meaning behind what is being sung, like when she’s having louder tones it’s to pack a heavier punch in the lyrics, and I think knowing the lyrics plays a big part in talking about her singing voice.

Thanks for providing such great insight on how she sings, my mom is a vocal instructor as well and she could not figure out how Ado is able to do this casually at her concerts! When I was younger, I taught myself how to switch between head voice, chest voice, and mix, but the most I could get out of my 12-year-old voice was a mix. Now (much later) I realize that where my scream is best (so it doesn't hurt) is at a *very loud* mix. I had to do several sing/metal esque/screams in a music/show/play/thingy (very difficult to explain, it wasn't really a musical), and one of my songs had several Ado-like screams in it. It was really fun but after a few hours of rehearsal it was hard to talk.

You can FEEL the insanity of the character she's portraying.

I love Ado's version of Aishite!! I love how she canges her voice to match the lyrics, like, for example, when shes singing, she changes her voice to sound more "cutesy" to attract attention, then changes back to more of a whine. Ado never fails to meet my high expectations that i have of her.

I'm no vocalist or singing expert at all, I'm just a big fan of Ado and good singing, and I love seeing analyses of Ado's singing. With little singing knowledge, I enjoyed Ado a lot, but I get a new appreciation for her every time I see your explanations of the technicalities of what she does
