I grew up in this era and I don't remember this song. This is awesome! Check out "What's Come Over Me" and "Spell" by Blue Magic. Also check out the live version of "I Need You" by Lakeside.

The lead vocalist on this cut was a gentle spirit by the name of Lee Pittman; my mentor, my brother in song and my friend. After a lengthy illness, Lee passed away about five years ago. In 2019 if I recall correctly, though I try not to. I first heard this beautiful song as young teenager (13), and instantly became a fan. About 17 years later, I had the pleasure of joining Lee in a different group called RETURN (no recordings), and we performed together for 15 years, until he retired from the stage. In addition to being a falsetto, Lee was a tremendous tenor and baritone and would perform songs in such a unique manner, that audiences (women and men) would be blown away. The last Nationally known group that he did dates with (in the late 80s or early 90s) was Pieces Of A Dream. He found the Recording Business to be unkind. I thank you for showing my big brother love. He was an amazingly talented singer and a wonderful human being. He could never understand why people made such a big fuss about him. I always will. ======== A few other possibilities from Baltimore: The studio cuts are the best examples, as the live performances tend to be as older performers and not the truest representation. 1. In My Opinion - The Vandals 2. I'll Erase Away - The Whatnauts (pronounced: what nots) 3. My Ebony Princess - Jimmy Briscoe and the Little Beavers

Kudos on your comments about Lee Pittman. I enjoyed "Never Take Your Love" as well as the uptempo "Good Love", The Whatnauts and Jimmy Briscoe and the Little Beavers' work as well. The best work The (Young) Vandals did was as Impact, especially "Happy Man", "One Last Memory" and "Give A Broken Heart A Break". For the record, the group included Damon Harris, who took Eddie Kendricks' place in The Temptations.

I meant to point out, for those who don't already know, that Lee Pittman is the guy seated in front of the group.
