Это забавно. Я в детстве боялась есть инжир ,из-за того когда его разрезаешь, инжир непривычно смотрится внутри, меня это отталкивало . А сейчас меня не оторвать от него.

I've never seen a fresh fig, I've only had fig preserves. It's a very strange-looking fruit, but very tasty and healthy.

Inzhir is very good for your health in the morning on an empty stomach...

It's like a flower turned inside out. My dog used to eat those off my fig Tree

I wonder if they make inzhir jam (инжировое варенье) in Georgia. It's brewed in Azerbaijan. But in Azerbaijan inzhir is a little different, it's yellow, more round and sweeter....

Very likely. We didn't have enough room in our carry-ons to bring anything back, so I wasn't looking, but there are plenty of sellers of honey and canned goods like jam around there.

Are you kidding? Figs grow in abundance in Texas. They even mix mushed figs with flour to make fig bread. I just can't believe figs weren't available in Georgia (the one in the US) 😊

There's this one guy (in his mid 40s) from midwest and he told me he'd never had some pretty common fresh fruits and berries and it sounded ridiculous to me. I was like how come? And he's like I dunno.

Да, я тоже удивилась, но это правда, он действительно ел инжир впервые в жизни ))

They are available in Georgia, but I've never had a fresh one. They are very soft and don't transport well. I've had fig preserves before, of course, but I hadn't ever had a fresh one before.
