Great Reaction XD Btw: Mia did cocaine earlier in the movie (at home and in the bathroom of the diner) and thought the white powder in Vincent's pocket was cocaine too. It was heroin though, that is why she overdosed. We must assume that Mia doesn`t do heroin, so taking a line like that when your not used to it, is very dangerous, also the combination of heroin and cocaine (called a Speedball if used at the same time) is extremely stressful for your heart because of the antagonistic effects of the drugs (upper and downer). Jon Belushi famously died of a Speedball overdose.

You wont read this anywhere but from watching first time reactions to thiis movie enough times you begin to figure things out. And as I now see it, the key to understanding this movie is to first rearrange the scenes into chronological order. Once you do that you realize it is a morality tale told through the lives of underworld characters. And it centers around the two main characters Vincent and Jules. Jules is a gangster who recognizes the existence of the supernatiral, so when he witnesses the miracle of not being killed by a spray of bullets he sees it is a call to reform, which he does. Vincent on the other hand is a hard case and does not read anything in it. So the rest of the movie you see Vincent having three more close calls in an apparent attempt by heaven to get through to him that he is in danger. The first occurs in the car when Vincent accidentally shoots Marvin and could have very easily gotten he and Jules both busted by the cops if not for a fixer by the name of Mr. Wolfe. He is a mysterious angel-like figure who comes in and saves them in miraculous fashion (as one might expect an angel to do it). Then he baptizes the two in the backyard with a garden hose. For Jules this is the cleansing ritual he needed to complete his transformation and put him on the right path. But Vincent still does not show the proper respect. The next close call occurs when Vincent comes out of the restroom at the diner to walk into a holdup in process. This time it is the reformed and now level headed Jules who saves his life (although he does not recognize that if not for Jules, his hot head could have gotten them all killed). The third close call is, however, a lot more obvious and it occurs again while Vincent is in the bathroom. It happens when his boss's wife, Mia, ODs on his hidden stash. And knowing full well that if she dies it will result in his own death warrant he rushes her to his pusher, Lance who represents Christ in this movie (complete with long hair, scraggly beard, a toga and sandals). And Lance performs a very Christlike miracle for Vincent, raising Mia from the dead. But even that does not convince Vince that he needs to find another line of work. The fates having failed in talking any sense to Vincent, we see him one last time, in the commode again, and shot dead at the hand of Butch, whom Tarantino has told us through subtle clues hidden in various other scenes, is the angel of death.

Fan theory: Samuel L Jackson's character DID "retire", after which he DID roam the earth under various assumed names. Tried his hand at music and performed with a lot of big names before ending up playing piano at a small church in El Paso. When a group of assassins showed up and killed everyone, he died under the assumption they were sent by Mr. Wallace's gang, his past finally catching up to him. Having come to repentance and glad to atone, he calmly sat there as everyone was massacred by Bill's gang.

Oh and right after my previous comment with the lack of drug knowledge, it has to be said that John Travolta dances amazingly. He was famous for how well he could dance, starring in Footloose after all, not to mention Grease. The whole place was a throwback type of restaurant, so they obviously weren't trying to dance well by today's standards, they were dancing like it was 1940 or thereabouts. It's one of two things it's either a Magoffin or it is Sir Wallace soul. A Magoffin is exactly what the movie wants you to know. It's an object or item that no one knows or doesn't exist. That's why we never see it or are never mentioned, other than the acknowledgement that it's in the suitcase. It's never described but just acknowledged. The other part could be that it is his bosses soul. There is a scene in the movie where his boss is talking, and there is a bandaid behind his neck. It's believed that this is where a human soul lays in the body. There are more theories on this movie but these 2 are the ones that I enjoy the most.

Thanks for that.. let me help... It is a McGuffin. The reason it isn't a soul? The reaction of the people who DID see inside the open case. There is Zero chance a two-bit crook like Pumpkin would see a "soul"(?) and react with, "Is that what I think it is?" And equally obvious that it is not something so implausible, Jules responds that it is what Pumpkin thinks it is. 🙏🏾

@7:44 "So now we are both on heroin." I've seen so many reactions to this movie where people don't even know what drugs are being taken, does nobody get educated anymore. I've never touched either, but Vincent was clearly doing heroin, and Mia was clearly doing cocaine. If you snort heroin then you'll end up in the situation she ended up getting into because she took the heroin out of Vincent's coat she was wearing and assumed it was cocaine because he got it in a little baggie. And if you recall earlier in the movie, the heroin dealer said "I'm all out of balloons, is a baggie okay?" So for whatever weird reason apparently heroin is normally contained with balloons, and cocaine is carried in baggies which actually makes sense to me. The only reason I could understand putting heroin in a balloon is to make it obviously differentiated from cocaine, as snorting that shit is clearly a bad idea and one could get into a situation like Mia got into. Not that an adrenaline shot to the heart would actually have worked, but it's a movie and it was fun for dramatic effect so I'll give it a pass I suppose. I just hope nobody bought adrenaline because of this movie to think that sticking someone in the heart with it would help with misuse of heroin. Anyway, I'm just honestly so surprised at how uneducated people are about drugs. You should be more aware of them ESPECIALLY if you want to stay away from them because then you know what to look for to make sure you don't let someone talk you/fool you into taking any. Or fool you at a party or whatever and you don't want to be anywhere near the stuff. Cocaine is especially bad for your organs (like stabbing someone in the heart... lol), but heroin is obviously easier to overdose and immediately die from. Cocaine is more like smoking 100 packs of cigarettes each time you get high on it. Not likely to kill you right away, but significantly shortens your lifespan unless you have some magical cocaine-tolerance gene or something.
