It’s the fact that two of Sidneys relatives tried to kill her, Jill & Roman. Jills motives were similar to Romans. Roman wanted the life Sid had before the trauma and Jill wanted the attention Sidney had for her trauma.

Gotta disagree Mel. Jill's motivation makes sense. It's messed up, and psychotic. But it's absolutely realistic. In fact, I'd say Scream 4 was ahead of its time in that regard. I believe there are people out there in the modern social media/TikTok obsessed age that would actually go this far for fandom. People will do anything for clicks and likes. Possibly even mass/serial murder. There's a lot of seriously demented people out there.

well I feel its both, He craved kirby's attention and she never gave it to him but jill did. He saw that as someone finally noticed him and likes him. I feel like thats why he said to kirby "you notice me now?Stupid bitch!" as in if you did before, none of this would happen and so I believe thats why he did it. and I think the line "This time Randy gets the girl" really proves that bc he really thouight he "got" Jill.

RE: Charlie's motivation; unfortunately, this is a very realistic motivation because it happens to women all the time. If we are not physically assaulted for rejecting a man, we're verbally assaulted, berated, stalked, harassed, etc. so often to the point where when men **don't** react rashly to us rejecting them, it's such a breath of fresh air. I'm not saying all men do this, but enough do it to where it's not unrealistic to see that in a movie and have that be Charlie's motivation for stabbing Kirby.

well no I dont fully believe that. i think It was both Kirby rejecting him and him finding Jill. I think He believed jill liked him back and so it was a mixture of the lack of attention he was getting followed by Jill giving the attention to him. I think Jill minipulated the fuck out of him and his incel mind and so I think thats why he said "you notice me now? stupid bitch!" meaning he believes that if Kirby showed him affection earlier than he wouldnt have done this. I genuinely believe that he thought Jill and him would be together, as made clear by him saying "this time randy gets the girl" refering to how randy never got to be with syd. Maybe it was a mix of everything but Ive always got incel vibes from charlie, Its like he thinks he was wronged bc a girl didnt notice him enough, thats insane, yet we see it alot irl aswell.

As hundreds of others have said, completely disagree with you: Jill's motive is easily the most cohesive. Scream 4 was SO far ahead of its time. It completely encapsulated the lengths to which people will go simply to be Internet famous. Jill had spent her entire life being jealous of Sidney, and that kind of envy is what drives social media today: people look at others' Insta/TikTok feeds and equally resent yet still wish for their perfect scripted lives.

Honestly with Charlie you gotta keep in mind that he started killing way before Kirby showed interest in him, and at that point he knew he was too deep in to back out. From his line delivery it seems pretty clear that he's frustrated at the fact that she showed interest after he started the ghostface killings, and it feels much more like deflecting than actually thinking he's still in the right. You can see him start to doubt his actions after he stabs her, which I think makes him the only ghostface to show even a shred of remorse lmao.

Never underestimate the lengths people will go to for fame or revenge. Some people kill for empowerment, some people kill for enjoyment, some people kill for no reason at all.. There's not always a motive. That's why Jill's motive is so good. It's all of the above. She was jealous AND she wanted fame AND she harboured resentment AND she was unstable.. This movie is so close to the first.. If it didn't have the orange colour correction and overexposure, it would have been damn neary favourite. Fun Fact #1: Anthony Anderson's character name is a horror reference of Psycho (Anthony Perkins is the person who portrays Norman Bates in the original films). Fun Fact #2: At Kirby's house. Jill Roberts is dressed similar to Billy Loomis (when he first arrived at Stu's house) while Trevor is dressed similar to Neil Prescott from Scream (1996) Fun Fact #3: The entire hospital scene was added by the studio, as they didn't like the idea of leaving Sidney's fate ambiguous as they felt it would affect the box office. Fun Fact #4: One of the potential plans (had the hospital scene not been added), was that Jill would go on to appear in Scream 5 (after getting away with the murders) when someone starts targeting her at college as they know her secret. Fun Fact #5: Next to the locker's at the school, when we see Jill and Kirby, there's a memorial bust of Principal Himbry (Henry Winkler's character from the original)

3 and 4 are my least favorites. I like 4 better for going back to the making fun of the Meta by making fun of reboots which were all the rage 11yrs ago. Random fact however: The original script for Scream 4 was supposed to end at the house with Jill being wheeled out. Judy was supposed to come up to Dewey after the doors closed and tell him there was another survivor, but they weren't going to reveal who it was. The Fifth was then supposed to be Jill and Kirby. Weinstein wanted a different ending, so that's why she called the hospital scene as an alternate ending. It was a commentary on the new Meta and Weinstein's interference.

Yes they’re horror fans that act like “Star wars” “Avengers” “Marvel Etc Etc Etc fans Most of us started our journey as Horror fans as very young kids you don’t typically find a horror fan that started as an adult! We love what these movies do to us && we’ve went back && saw all the classics b4 they were remade
