Leo Deer well the whole trajectories in 2 dimensions ignoring air resistance is high school level physics. But its also taught in introductory physics classes in uni so technically they are sort of doing first year physics.

I had AP Bio, Chem, Psych, and Physics (amongst other nonfactor irrelevant AP classes just there as an HPA booster) thru out my highschool career. I didnt remember any of that shit when i got to college. The best you can get is being like "Oh yeah i remember seeing this in AP, i got no fucking idea how to solve it now tho".

I understand most AP classes are pointless "big boy" kind of classes, but my AP physics teacher was actually very impressive and I learned a lot. I had hours of homework nearly every night, but I got better at what I was doing. The "honors physics" that another teacher taught was just a toothpick bridge designing class with no trig, vectors, basic forces, or even one dimensional kinematics. The 'STEM' pushers are a bunch of quacks

You know, you joke, but my school literally has a Quantum Mechanics for Freshman class that we’re all in. And we spend soooo much time just attempting to wrap our heads around superposition it isn’t funny. There’s a real reason why they don’t usually teach QM to freshmen. :(

I took my first class in physics because it was required of me as a math major and i actuallt really liked it but the professor spoke so slow it made it very difficult to pay attention. I then took the next physics class and that professor was even worse. He spoke so quietly no in the back of the lecture hall could hear him and after being asked multiple times to speak up I, and all the other students, gave up. He is the only one that teaches the next course so im done with physics XD

I’m in math and physics and I personally don’t have anything against engineers as the engineering programs at my school are more difficult than the math/physics programs. Physics majors just joke around about how engineers don’t care about the underlying theory behind anything.

Hi! I think I realized I wanted to do physics professionally once all of the hand waivey answers on cosmos and other pop science shows didn't cut it for me anymore. I love the idea of being able to point at an equation in a text book one day and being able to say, "that came out of my head". I'm applying to grad school right now for theoretical physics. Maybe in a future video I'll try to explain my path in a more thorough way. What makes you think you might want to study physics?
