At 9:57, why would there not also be a configuration where the carbon 2 has the OH group on the right/H group on the left and carbon 3 has the OH group on the left/H group on the right? And then the mirror image of that as well to make an E and F configuration?

But how do you know which atom goes on the top and the bottom lines of the fischer projection? In my lecture, the professor said something about most oxidized being on the top and the most reduced on the bottom (away from you)...?

Whilst he's a little fast, it still makes sense if you stick with him!

I don't see how finding the R in the last enantiomer was feasible using the selected method. Why did the lecturer explain the 1 carbon has two oxygens attached to it? It's an aldehyde. .... ONE oxygen.
@alphazgaming3609

that is because the oxygen is a double bond and it is shown as two oxygens in these kinds of projections

A lot of times you said information in regards to a specific atom on the video but did not point to it. Very confusing video. This video needs to be done in 3D

Sure would be nice if you'd just do the mirror image of each one instead of getting all fancy pants with sawhorse and all that crap. Not helpful.

How is this video unhelpful in any way? If your purpose in watching the video was to learn more about how to accurately understand and draw Fischer projections, then he explains that very well. If your purpose was not to learn about Fischer projections, then why were you watching the video in the first place? It takes a lot of time and energy for these guys to produce these videos; the very least you could do if you didn't like it is to provide a helpful and constructive criticism, not to pointlessly claim it wasn't helpful without any explanation as to why you think it is such, and then suggest Jay is at fault by saying, "someone should get sal in here."
