Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg soaked basmati rice (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
- 2 kg fried fish
- 1 kg potatoes
- 300g fried onions
- 2 large chopped onions
- 3 tbsp garlic and ginger
- 500g plain yogurt
- 150 ml frying oil
- Some chopped coriander leaves
- Some chopped mint leaves
- 100g biryani spices
- A pinch of saffron infused in ½ cup of water + a pinch of yellow food coloring
For fried fish:
Ingredients:
- 2 kg fresh or thawed tuna (any large boneless fish)
- 2 teaspoons salt or to taste
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Chili according to your preference (optional)
- 1 large crushed onion
- 1 tbsp garlic and ginger
- 1 tbsp turmeric powder
- Juice of one large lemon
In a bowl, mix salt, pepper, chili (if using), turmeric, garlic, ginger, and onion. Marinate fish pieces with this mixture, drizzle lemon juice, and mix well. Let it rest for 30 minutes before frying.
