Exploring the waters off Outer Brewster island off Boston Harbor is always a treat. The Boston Harbor Islands have an abundant amount of stories and history dating back well before the area was colonized when Native Americans used the islands as hunting grounds, homes and communal gathering spots. On this day however the focus became more on an odd looking little fish sitting on a sandy bottom in only about 9m/30ft of water. This Grey Gurnard was so unbothered by my presence and taking photos and videos I opted to try and take our relationship to another level. After a slow approach he seemed to hop right into my hand as the bond was sealed. We didn't hang out for too long before going our separate ways with whispers to one day meet again.
