After a fun boat trip at sea, Kimi Werner brings home the uku (grey snapper/jobfish) she speared while freediving to cook over an open fire for her mother. But first she must forage for the ingredients to make a macadamia nut pesto with lots of island flavors. This episode shows a lot of harvesting from the land and a little glimpse of the ups and downs of caring for an elderly parent in her final stage of life.
