First of all, I can't believe the quality of this. Sounds a lot better then it ever did on the tape recorder. Secondly, I'm 99% sure that's Steve Martin's voice. Somehow never made the connection as a kid. Finally, haven't heard this in close to 35 years, but I replayed it who knows how many times back then. It's all coming back vividly hearing it again

I got my Fisher Price Tape Recorder for Christmas in 1984. This little demo reel introducing us to the capabilities of the machine blew my 5-year-old mind. I interviewed my Pound Puppy, narrated my own rendition of Fantastic Voyage, and made dumb noises with my friends all on the back of that cassette. For too many years, I thought those were the actual lyrics to On Top of Old Smoky. Thank you for posting this. This might not be the most visited video on KZitem, but it is one of the ones that had made me the most happy.
