Missing seeing your Mom, give her another invite to get out fishing with ya. My mother-in-law was Japanese, she loved the Bonita. She made asian soup with it. I didn't like it but it was her favorite dish. I am an older gentleman, haven't been fishing in years due to declining health. I really appreciate your videos, reminds me of the good old days back in the 60s out in the gulf offshore out of Cameron Louisiana. Blessings my young friend, best wishes to your and your family 👪. 😊

I just love the respect for the fish, the knowledge you share, the obvious joy you communicate ! The use of circle hooks is really great to protect the fish - the odd of having a deep hook is highly reduced with a circle hook (and yes - never jerk when yo get a strike because it'll snatch the hook right out of its mouth - you always try to avoid the fish you're putting back (handling fish with one's hand causes much more damage than one can think) ! Great job and thank you !

Stud Mango, they're fun as hell to catch and they're inshore and offshore as well. Grew up fishing the state pier and then graduated to offshore.Went to school, hunted and fished with John and Mike Gininni as well with Mark Russo from Sam's. That was back when GS was a ghost town the day after shrimp festival, dead as hell until first week of March and the spring breaks started.

I subscribed and like your channel…I retired and moved to Orange beach about 2 years ago. I am learning a lot about fishing in the gulf. One thing I would like to see: for you to say where you are fishing (even if just the public locations). I watched the poached black drum…I think you are fishing at the Perdido Bay bridge (Lillian hwy98) but I’m not sure. Could you say where you are fishing in your videos. Thanks! Jim Wade

Nice video brother. Just a tip from someone who used to handline sailfish. Always open hand the line 5:20. NEVER EVER hold a loop of line in your hand or twist it around your hand to pull the fish in. No matter how small the fish. A shark or cuda could dart in, pull that line tight and leave you without a finger or two.
