Great Sign the summer species showing, had all my best hounds on the prawn last year. Good work bud in that wind 😁🤙

Another great video full of useful information , 1st time we ever fished Sandy Point was on a monster tide and we spent most of the night either sitting on our hands or hauling in half the Solents weed , still ended up producing my second largest smoothound and a few weeks later produced my PB that still after 10 years I haven,t beaten ( 13lb 9 )

Thank you!! Yeah you need to make sure you catch it on the right tide, neaps are always the chosen ones, we were fishing for 4 hours and could of carried on longer in this tide! Nice pb to have, I need to beat my 12lb 😅

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice in the video. I fished Sandy Point for the first time yesterday and had my first ever smooth hound, on prawn. Only small but gave a good fight. Problem was the weed as it became un-fishable about an hour after low tide once the flood started.

Great session and thanks for the tips. I was told Sandy Point is a low-tide venue but would like to know your views? Cheers.
@SouthCoastDangler
Жыл бұрын
Yes, it needs to be fished from low tide onwards. You won’t be able to fish before then. An ideal tide is a 1.5m low and the next high around a 4m tide or less!

How long are those rods. They don't let us fish from the beach here in Miami Florida. They say we have a shark problem. Nice catch. everybody have a great day

They are 14ft long, I mean the sharks we catch aren’t big compared to the ones out there and they aren’t as dangerous 😅 thank you for watching!

@@ST-sx2bs Wednesday you should get a couple of hours fishing. They are not the best Neap tides. If you use the Royal Navy tide times it show you the % of spring tide it is. Look for 5-20%. I think Wednesday it is 45%
