Not trying to grind as hard as I have the past couple of weeks I decided to come back to Bedok Jetty for a couple hours of easy fishing. No hiking up mountains. No balancing on rocks as the surf crashed at my feet. No working heavy lures through fast water. Just standing on the pier and dropping shrimp.
I had the goal of catching a single new species for my lifelist, but honestly I would've been content just getting some action. The day ended up better than I could've imagined with two new species showing up, a yellowstripe scad (Selaroides leptolepis) and a banded silver biddy (Gerres shima). I would've loved one, two just makes it that much better.
