The baby shad and rooster tails are my favorite crappie baits. That one they were using reminds me of a down south lure.

I think I get a bag of Bobby garlands everytime I go to Walmart. I usually never give it a bobber either. Just cast and slowly reel em in with a twitch. My wife caught 33 panfish the other night. Crappie and blue Gill seem to really like that chartruse/red flake.

Hood, The one looks like one of their "Baby Shad Swimmer" models. It has good movement with really slow retrieves or on a pendulum fall.

Those Bobby Garland Baby Shad Swim R's are a great bait. I love the Bluegrass color and the Sweet Tea with Lemon. Also I use some baits called Puddle Jumper Baby Shad. If you haven't tried them before I recommend them. I have some videos on my page showing Puddle Jumper Lures being used. Enjoyed your video!! Take care buddy

Hey Mark!! The thing is at least you caught a couple of fish for the day. There’s a lot of people who aren’t so lucky catching fish. But me I live in MN. And I can’t go fishing cause I don’t do ice fishing so I have to wait until spring and or summer to come in. But that’s ok cause I’m a to save me some money during the winter so when summer comes in I’ll be able to get my kayak so geek about it. So this is a nice video and it will get better for you down there in Texas to go fishing Mark.

I'm from Commi California, that sure is some Dirty, Dirty Water. Another thing that I noticed. That Spinning Reel has the crank on the Right Side. Here in the West, the Crank is on the Left Side, Always. I guess that idea comes from Baitcaster type Reels. I don't use Reels with the Crank on the Right Side. It makes more sense to Crank on the Left unless you are Left Handed. Casting then switching hands is inefficient. And Generally speaking, the Water here in Commi California is much cleaner than the Mid West and Southern States. So that Dirty Water is not for me. Yuk But if that is all there is, oh well.

I would drop down to a 1/64 oz chartreuse feather jig, that way you can catch the crappie and the bluegill.
