I really like this new song, I didn't expect Joe's vocals to be so pure, this is one of those bands that doesn't disappoint, and of course I'm curious about the rest of the album, I think there will be two more songs before the album is released

I love FFAA but i have to say im not a fan of the total cleans here, Only because they remind me BIG TIME of the chorus hook from Trivium's 'Catastrophist' which is a bit too safe & 'radio' for me. This also kinda makes me a little nervous when i see bands go in this direction, because usually this is a sign of going down a mainstream/Architects type road. I REALLY hope this is just a rare experimental track, if so? awesome! But if the next album after this new one is lots of this then uh-oh from me. If you get what i mean. We'll see but im curious & the rest of the song is sick. Im keeping a eye mind and low key hoping this isnt a sign of things to come.

As much as I love this band,I must admit I am not sure about this track. It seems like it is falling apart in a few places. But perhaps I need to listen to it again.

Yup I love this band discovered them on Sea of Tragic Beasts and one of my favorite new bands. I don't really care for anything before Absolute Hope Absolute Hell. They were kinda just Deathcore at that point but they have really broadened their sound and continue to add to the recipe and i like that. Similar to what Whitechapel has been doing. Not really a fan of just straight up deathcore buti love when other elements are mixed in and they doing it perfectly. This song is sooo Moody i love it and those cleans were definitely new. Cheers guys..

I agree with them broadening their sound after Hellbound, and I'm a huge fan of it, but Hellbound is still a fantastic record. Maybe it's not your thing because it's more straight-up deathcore, but I go back to it all the time. Some crushing stuff on that record.

people are too wrapped up in genre boundaries and expectations e.g. clean vocals, breakdowns etc. Remember, the band owes you nothing. Instead dig into the band itself. Read/watch/listen to interviews, find their influences, watch their rig rundowns, etc. These make songs come alive, each revealed as a world unto itself, the album…a galaxy. These guys strive to build around theme, ambience, vibe, mood, aesthetic and ethereal. They’re not here to write chugga chugga pig squeal lamest of all breakdowns. You can tell how meticulous every aspect of their production/ song writing is. The reason why people like them, is because everything else sounds like shit, and we gravitate toward authenticity. These guys have it in spades.

As someone who wasn't impressed with their last album (especially because it followed after Sea of Tragic beasts) I'm hoping this will be better. This sounds like a great first track and opener for the album.

This is such a killer band, but this track isnt their best for me. Its still good, just not quite up to their normal caliber IMO.
