Great job mate ! Most workshops in my area of Australia have big signs saying they do not work on bikes over 10 years old. Glad to see you working on a beautiful 40+ year Kawasaki. Cheers.

A lot of places nowadays shy away from older bikes. If you can’t plug them in to see what’s wrong they aren’t interested. 😞

Shame the first part of the video didn't work out but the rest, as usual, was very good. Thanks for posting. Ride safe, regards

Z 900 is most probably my most favourite bike? (Of all time)! Such a good looking bike, if i could ride a motorcycle id love to own a 900 myself? But unfortunat im to old to learn now? And by living off my pension , i just couldnt justify spendingbthe money for a really good example of this machine?.

Why are you too old to learn? Everyone has to start somewhere.

I'm just about to do this job on my 78 Z1000 pity about the loss of footage, how did th coils mount, was it necessary to fabricate something to fit onto the frame mounts?
@themobilemotorbikemechanic

The coils mounted up to the frame very easily utilising existing holes.

I would never leave the new parts on the floor, and then put them on the bike. It just looks so disrespectful to the customer.

I would rather put them on the floor and not have them drop off the bike and smash on the floor. We work outdoors and do not have a work bench to put them on.

I was going to ask the above question , for my future needs where are you based and do you travell to south wales, i dont trust the local dealers had prblems eith thier service,and my mate just had a 1st service on his bike and when he got home oil pissing out of the sump plug that was not done up , the palava he had they wanted to send the AA out to retighen and refill his bike , he said no way he wants the bike full checked over by another mech checking all his work, prob an aprentice done the oil change and not having his work checked, i have a new gsx 8s and not far off the 7500 mile service bbut will be taking to another dealer , shoddy work seems the normsl standard for some garages
