Thanks for the video, need to adjust the back to back on the centre axle on one of my bogies, and this was a great help showing me exactly how to remove the keeper plate. Thanks again. Regards, Martin

Great shots of the back of your left hand all the while! - did you not think to preview this video? We think it would have been much better to have pointed the camera towards the middle of the loco, between your hands, maybe???

Although the centre axle is undriven, it looks like it is still actually fixed in position and therefore surely it cannot float independently on the bogie. This would mean the bogie could still pivot on the centre axle. Is this the case? Regards Julian

Hi Julian A good question and I can see that you was thinking I have just checked my locomotive and can confirm there is about 1mm of movement on the centre axle my track work is not perfect and being P4 one dose not get a second chance but as can be seen in the video she is very happy over my track I have also done some modifications to my 37s in order to get some movement on the centre axle, in contrast to this Hornby 56 and 50 with slimmer pick up arrangement I can not get to run on my layout and this is due to no movement on the centre axle Hope this helps Pat

@@patstrainsuk1 Thanks Pat. It sounds like there is some extra vertical float/movement then beyond the other manufacture's standard all wheel drive Co Co bogie. I have one of these Cavalex 56s on order from Colletts but I've still not received or heard anything yet! The sound option wasn't available for me and they don't seem to sell the Cavalex ESU sound decoders separately.so I may fit a Hornby TXS7000 instead to keep the cost sensible. It might sound good with a EM1 speaker....We'll see! Cheers Pat, regards Julian

@@theeventhorizon-valebridge9512 Hi Julian. Roads and Rails do the factory sound project on an ESU V5. There is also the LegoBiff option. The speaker as per Cavalex is awaiting delivery. Dave
