Nice tidy job there .I see the Titan drill , excellent choice . Does anyone else find those pre made pads are never square , they always seem to have a chamfer on the top and bottom 🙄😡🧱👍🏼

That was really interesting. I also was really impressed with the exact positioning of those holes . Go on admit it , when the steel fell directly onto those bolts , a quiet fist pump !!

you did well doing that by yourself laser eye!!, maybe get some ratchet spanners or deep socket set to save adjustable spanner but understand its not easy lugging tools in when no parking but great job

Are you seriously using a drill bit as a chisel? I guess I have done the same thing in my career. Nice job.

Use whatever is available, there is no hard and fast rule where things are not critical . Naturally you would not use a chisel to drill a hole, but one can use a drill bit to break away sections of cement etc.

Great job and well done for getting the holes to line up. Just wondering why you didn't use the steel as a drilling guide for centring the drill, then downsizing and working back up to diameter. My building inspector also insisted that below ground the steel was bitumen painted, but not sure if you are having to do this with your job? Well done for working in such tight spaces too- I bet many builders were put off quoting for this job!!
@darrenthebuilder

Thanks, marking the holes with a pencil is plenty accurate for me lol No bitumen needed here. The DPM will go under the steel and it will be encased in concrete.
