I'll be honest, as a bloke in my 30's when 5ive were big, I thought they were absolutely brilliant, they managed to appeal to everyone, not just school girls like many boy bands at the time!! 'We will rock you' with Queen is awesome!!!

I know, right? Damn, I wish he still looked like that, sort of, although it would probably be considered kind of strange if he still did, with fashion today. But I thought he was a real cutie, back then, too. ;)

+Christinafan2002 the main issue is that he looked much healthier back then. He had a lot of problems after the band broke up and his relatively short run of solo. I believe there was a lot of drinking and probably drugs involved as well and he still doesnt look like he fully recovered. But last time he was seen somewhere he seemed to have looked better, so perhaps we may get "our" Abz back afterall :)

@CharMania86

+Jason King yeah they had potential to break it in America but they refused to do touring w/ NSYNC because they were apparently burnt out and were a bit intimidated probably cause they couldn't meet the expectation of what NSYNC did. They realized that they had to work harder. It's a shame cause I did enjoy this band, they were just too lazy. But i think that was all pop/boy bands coming from the UK...they never sung live. Steps, psh...shit.

Whenever they did perform live, they always sounded great. Yeah it was rare for groups from the UK to sing live. S Club 7, remember them? They almost never sang live, but whenever they did, they sounded GREAT. 5ive once did open up for NSYNC or something.

I didn't see it as racist. In fact, I forgot his name (now I know it's Sean), so I immediately knew who she/he was talking about when she gave the description. It's just a description imo, not a label.

I'll tell you how it's racist. You don't just label someone as Asian/ black…that's just rude. Yeah you could be an African living in Japan. But I think you misunderstood, what I mean't in my first sentence "He isn't asian…he's from Leeds" when I say that, I mean that he was born there. Sheesh.
