While visiting Cumberland Falls in Whitely Co in late spring, I was standing up on an overlook and smelled carrion. I scanned below and saw a dead beaver that had been there awhile on the rocks below. Being fascinated with that...I also saw butterflies lighting upon it!! I was amazed to see that!!! I never knew certain butterflies lit on carrion. I also didn't know the male/female difference of tiger swallowtails! I see a lot of the black/blue female swallowtails. And the skipper? I've not seen those. I will be on the lookout for those now. Thx for all the good info!🐛🦋

tent caterpillar is listed as a pest for this plant - but in 20 years I can't say I've ever had a call about this pest on this plant, so I'm not sure how common of a problem it actually is.
