He saved my health. I found him a year ago. Start simple if it seems to difficult. I pushed each meal out each day. It wasn’t long before I was fasting easily. I have done 72 hours so far. I have found my body feels so much better during fasting. You start losing the craving for the foods that are not good for you. Super easy. Stay busy also.

@@Mossa444 It's actually not necessary to get them every single day. Most modern humans are overfed. Not only are we built to eat intermittently safely, we benefit from it. The key is to eat mostly whole foods. Most should be vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts and seeds, and whole grains or starchy veggies like sweet potatoes. Those whole plant foods are where the vitamins, minerals and micronutrients such as phytochemicals are found.

@@Mossa444 I think someone already answered your question very well. I would just add, fasting helps you eat the right foods. So I used to eat donuts and sugary carbs before- But with fasting, I no longer crave those. Instead, when hungry and during my eating hours, I make sure the carbs come from fruits and veggies and grains, meats as well. I am not a vegetarian. But the vitamins in these foods are way better than those synthetic vitamin supplements.

I love bone broth with a lot of acv. I haven't tried acv in just water, I'm not sure why I'm so hesitant. It just doesn't sound good. NOTE: Braggs acv has been bought out & my friends & I have seen a notable difference in the color. So now we use Kirkland Organic ACV. Just a suggestion.

I’ve been doing intermittent fasting successfully since March of this year, 20/4 for the most part. It happened progressively and by cutting the processed food, junk food which happened over time. Junk food equates to crack food. It wasn’t easy at first but because I wanted better health I will myself and now, no more cravings and on cruise control. Better yet no more soda = liquid candy and no more fast food, pastry, etc. as am typing this at 7:46 am I have done 13 hours and 46 minutes of intermittent fasting and not hungry at all, hahaha. “ Victory loves preparation. “ Have a game plan and execute it, if others can do it so can you! ;) Thank you Dr. Berg, it was your leadership that guided me and continues to do so. 😀🙏🏻🙏🏿

I began IF again in last week in December. Ive started drinking ACV 2-4x a day and it definitely HELPS!!! just make sure to rinse your mouth out after drinking.

ACV + lemon juice + cinnamon was a game changer for me. You don't just feel less hungry after drinking it, you feel generally calmer and healthier. it's remarkable how quickly your palate adjusts to it, too. I just use a 250ml glass of water, 1 tbsp of ACV, juice of a quarter of a lemon, and a good sprinkle of cinnamon. I really enjoy it. Unfortunately, ACV isn't recommended for prolonged fasting because your system will already be very acidic over 48 hrs into fasting, I think? And someone told me it can contribute to leeching potassium in that situation. It's a shame, not sure I could do a very long fast without it.

Hot path. Sometimes during the day I am thinking about a meal, not from hunger (I am past that) but from the ceremony of eating which I still miss. Then I go run a bath and soak, listen to a podcast. I think it hacks the same dopamine stores that engage when munching. Works every time.

Dr. Berg, you are awesome in your way of explaining how our body works! I learned so much from you! I’m trying to follow your advices and feel so much better, I’m not sleepy during the day. Just watched your video about potassium due to my elevated heartbeat rate and I learned that our cells have a charge and they are like mini batteries. I would like to hear your opinion on sodium bentonite clay. I was trying to do my internal detox by drinking it every morning on empty stomach and after a week or so I started to feel extreme fatigue. First time I did not understand what was happening and I stopped it. But in a year or so I tried to do the cleanse again - so I got the same symptoms, and by combining this with the stress that I had at that time I ended up having deep depression. So, I’m wondering if that fatigue was caused by that clay that stripped my cells of electrical charge as I know clay works by pulling metals out of human body by the charge that it has, but it might have been too much pull for me. Just want to hear what you say about that, it seems to be interesting topic to learn. Thank you for all your hard work and educating us!

I have been doing intermittent fasting for the last 6 months. I also take ACV mother. It helped me a lot, I have lost a lot of weight, and no, not the muscle mass, my fat is melting away. Exercise as well. I am a Type 2 Diabetic; I am still taking medicine but without one my Sugar level is stable. Thank you to advisors like you, I can achieve it.

IF is so easy. Just fill in your time before you eat in the morning (if retired and not working). I walk my dog, read, play spades on the internet, watch You Tube, write letters, garden, do office work, clean house…….once your body gets used to eating at certain times it’s very easy. And even easier to do OMAD once you’ve eaten a little more than usual, you don’t feel hungry after that ONE daily meal. It’s surprising how much weight just drops off without starving yourself.

It's very hard to sleep for atleast 3-4 days when you start doing intermitten fasting but after 3-4 days you will be fine you will sleep like a baby evey night once you keep doing it i've done it many times. Intermitten fasting is the best!

staying busy helps. A very easy 18 hour fast for me is I quit eating at 8pm. Get up next morning, I go in to work at 7. no breakfast of course, just coffee. by the time I'm done with work at 2-3pm, it's already been 18+ hours. Being a couple days in to ketosis makes this much easier. Don't eat a bunch of pizza and drink a bunch of beer the night before, the next day will be hell.

Thankfully i have a great passion for video games, anime and such so after found video such as this from Dr Berg,Jason Fung etc im starting to follow all of their advices as i want to live longer so i can enjoy all my hobbies at the sacrifices of all those "delicious foods but unhealthy" it was tough at first but again my passion for my hobbies are much stronger and now im fine with OMAD every single days, felt better much better as well.

I’m agree with you Doc. I’m drinking the raw apple cider vinegar mixed cinnamon, honey and I dilute a little bit with water, I noticed that it cuts the hunger , reduces my Quantity of foods I eat. The best part is this is a detox also cause I got a lot of itches on my skin at night due to those parasites on my body and the result not more itches. It starts reducing belly fats as it goes.

16:8 rule mostly overnight was the best tip ever for me! Fast for 16 hours & eat within an 8 hour window. Easiest way to do this is to stop eating by 7pm & don’t start eating again until 11am. You can have plain coffee or tea to start your day without breaking your fast. ❤

Yes. I take it first thing in the morning. I squeeze half a lemon into a glass of water, one cap of apple cider vinegar, two punches of sea salt. I only use this small amount because I’ve already lost 21 pounds since March of this year and don’t want to lose more. So basically I take it for the other benefits, inflammation reduction, ph balance. Anyhow I don’t have the cravings for months. And I used to get up in the middle of the night and kill the dorito bag lol, that was before March of this year. Will power, discipline = is a task at first and then it becomes easy over time. :)
