Okay, why wasn't there anything like this two years ago! I have spent years making these exact mistakes (eventually fixing them through trial and error) Thanks! You rock!

Thanks. I have ordered some table lights for my setup that should arrive in 3 or 4 days. I can't wait to try your advice so that my "green screen will suck as little as possible..' LOL.

What I want to know is how to do it in an environment where you can't keep enough distance.

Ok, you nailed it again. Really great advice. Thank you so much. May I make a suggestion. I really had to hunt for this video after watching the first part, which was 6 years prior (wtf?). It would be really helpful, for the audience and your channel, if you linked this in the description of your other video.

you recorded this at the same time as the old video? you should edit this into one new video and reupload. this much better than many more popular videos and this info is more relevant than ever.

_nerd mode activated_ The inverse square law is with respect to a point source, which a softbox is (by design) not. For a flat surface like a softbox, the light intensity stays more or less the same for distances close to it, and the inverse square law kicks in only for larger distances. Another solution would be to buy a softbox that is much bigger than your greenscreen. :)
