You are an amazing ambassador for the sport of archery - you should be nominated for an award for your contribution to the sport. This series of getting back to archery after major surgery will be a massive inspiration to others who have gone through surgery or have lost strength through illness.

Hey mate! I started shooting a standard bow when I was 10. Then a guy walks into my club ( 1983) with a compound bow!😮🤯🤷♂️. I tough to myself wow it's like a sewing machine!😮 it's loud and shoots fast! I want that. Fortunate as I was, my parents brought me a bear junior compound bow the next week. Won the provincials with it a month after. So I stated back shooting a compound bow at my new club 39 years after. Alot of bare bow guys and traditional bow shooting at the club... a few really nice folks in their 70's . Enjoy talking with them alot! Their experiences shared to me is priceless! So last week I said hey you standard boys I am gonna shoot with you! So I dropped my compound and whent to get a club standard bow.. there was one 10 pound on the rack.. just pulled back on it and said to myself.. wow I can't shoot that.. so I found a 27 pound in the storage.. got some arrows and shooted it. I was doing pretty good without a sight! But felt like I was shooting a kids spider man's bow wit suction cups at the end of arrows 💁♂️😅 anyway the guys where glad to see that a compound bow guy can shoot a trad bow. Take it easy mate, baby steps to greatness again! Keep up the good work and cheers to you and your family from canada!❤👌👊

Hey Steven/or Anyone-How many turns OUT from bottomed can you safely turn out the tiller bolts for lessoning the poundage. My Win&Win Inno Max can be turned out 6 turns for example.

Would this be an acceptable riser to buy for a beginner looking to purchase for a first bow? Or is it specialized for lower weights?

Do be careful. Upper body limb bones take around 6 weeks after a fracture to heal and lower body limb bones double that.

Oh now I remember the issue with this riser, aluminium on this bow is weak, the alignment bolt will strip the thread easily if you want to tighten it much like other higher price riser. *Please fix the audio, it's only good with a single speaker. Listening with a stereo is hard to bare.* Video is informative and good.

I really don't think Steven will be stripping threads on this riser with all the experience he has. I.M.O., issues with threads stripping out is mainly down to the user's lack of common sense - a small amount of grease on threads and collets will help prevent threads binding (when threads bind they normally stip out especially in aluminium)

@@kevbell5346 Not about Steven gonna strip it but the Aluminium on this riser is softer than what we usually used to on others like the WNS Motive FX. The price explained itself. I personally got one already cam stripped on the tiller lateral adjustment. Note it's came stripped, since we can't afford sending it back we just tap it with a bigger thread to deal with it.

@@crossvadar249 Glad you managed to put larger adjustment screws in - probably a much lower risk of stripping out now, especially if you put a small amount of lubricant on the threads.

This riser is made out of magnesium alloy, not aluminium
