There is one absolute that always gives us comfort over here at Common Motor. It is the fact that regardless of what is wrong with the older Honda motorcycles, they can always be fixed. Now of course SHOULD a motorcycle be fixed is a different conversation entirely. If you are willing to put in the time, learn the skills, and get the right parts, at the end of your wrenching season you may very well have the project you have poured yourself in to sputter back to life. Jessi pulled her CB200t out of a literal barn a little over a year ago and she's been through a journey with it. She rebuilt her first engine, dove into a motorcycle that is hard to find information about, and kicked it back to life. This motorcycle has probably not even had an exhaust on it in over 10 years! Follow along as she runs a throttle cable, finishes installing the carburetors, and times her CB200 "Barn Find" to start it for the first time.
Make sure you watch all the way to the end to see the project wrap-ups on the screen that show exactly how much time and money has been spent on both motorcycles and stay tuned for more of the "failed cafe racer" CB450 and the "barn find" CB200t rebuild!
Disclaimer: The first half of this episode was filmed well before Covid-19 hit the shores of the US. Since then, we've changed up the format a bit for Fixin' 2 Ride. To keep the people in the shop to a minimum we will be filming each bike individually and featuring the CB450 "Failed" Cafe Racer and CB200 Barn Find bikes in their own episodes. But don't worry this only means twice as many awesome episodes as before.

About This Series:
The tale of two cycles. One a failed "cafe racer" project, the other a rusting "barn find," both are destined to ride again!
In our brand new "Fixing To Ride" video series, Common Motor's Jessi and Caleb picked up two Craigslist specials for about $500 each - a failed "cafe racer" project and an old "barn find."
Our plan is to turn them both into fully reliable daily drivers for under $1500 bucks each.
These two motorcycles are great examples of what you might come across when searching for your own Vintage Honda project bike. In this series, we'll walk you through everything we looked for in purchasing them, and the types of repairs and obstacles you might come across when you set out on your own quest to buy and fix up an old Honda to make it your reliable "daily driver".
