This video actually worked out, I was looking for this game to play during the pandemic lockdown. It was a bit too expensive, but I finally found it broken for a fraction of the price after the lockdown ended.

That's cool that you can play SNES games on the Famicom. Its a nice little system with a great form factor.

I hope you didn't toss the old board, seems easy and fun to fix. Also in other videos of yours there's a hell of a good flux you're using, it's perfect.

@PunkNDisorderlyGamer

I’m willing to bet it’s the acidic moisture from blowing into cartridges over the years. If this was a natural occurrence it would affect every cartridge, but since it happens to only some games, it has to do with some sort of poor treatment.

Kester brand 60/40 diameter 0.031 with rosin core. I bought a roll in February 2019 and I’d say it should still last me till 2023 or 2024, expensive but worth every penny. I even have a roll of Kester 62/36/02 with 2% silver for greater shiny joints, though the roll is almost twice the price of 60/40.

How did you modify your Super Famicom, to accept SNES carts? Did you use a 3D printed dust flap, or did you modify a SNES flap to cover the extensions made to the sides?
@PunkNDisorderlyGamer

First person to notice lol. I modified an SNES dust flap and I filed down some of the throat of cartridge slot to accept larger North America cartridges
