These HP Prodesk 600 G1 Desktop Mini PCs are awesome with being able to take socketed LGA1150 CPUs, but due to its compact 1L size has limited cooling.
Which surprisingly is still enough to cool a full desktop 65W Core i5 4690S that was not officially supported. But what's not good enough is the VRM's cooling...which is non-existent. Resulting in a loud fan during heavy loads which seems to be because of the EC (Electronic Controller) basing fan speeds from PCB temperatures. So I fixed it with some thermal pads!
