The sight of that yard brings back so many memories ! You come around the building after a fresh snow , no one has plowed and of course there are no lights , yard is full of pot holes big enough to swallow a rig and of course there is no space left to drop your trailer because all the other dropped trailers are so crooked they take up two spots . The fences are half knocked over and if you drop next to them you know they will try to blame you of course. And the trailer you need is buried two rolls back and because all of the trailers are so crooked you have to move 4 other ones to get to yours . After 40 years of driving , I sure miss those days ……………. NOT !!! HAHAHA !

Nothing you can do on a lot like that other than to repair it as needed, and even asphalt will end up that way with trailers turning sharp on it the only difference is that asphalt repair is much more costly. Well done Chris!

As a retired truck driver I will say it for the guys Thanks of course would of been nice if they had gone all the way to the fence . Every place where the driver drop & Hooks the trailers will be pot holes . Always is . It should be paved or concrete but the owners wont pay to have it done and the renters are expected to maintain the grounds . I don't blame them for doing what they do . How ever this appears to be a drop yard for many company's , 53 and 55 ft trailers probably loaded to the gills grossing close to 80,000 with the tandems slid back trailers 3 deep in some spots yeah its going to be a mud pit . Expect plenty of work from them as long as they are there . PS Nice job .

The way I see it, they have a simple drainage problem. A 6" perforated pipe from the loading pad to the back of the lot would dry out the base layer, no ??

Ken Zodrow your doing it wrong, leaving the water in will soak and result the same sloppy material making the hole, dig down to a hard base and either box it out or scarify the ground and put in new material at optimum moisture for compaction, if you have sun let it bake out and should be nice.

it would seem Logical PLUS for better efficiency that all excavator manufacturers would have an option FOR faster ground speed = Totally Understand mass majority of an Excavator work is at any one given Location HOWEVER, if have TWO or three Jobsites in the same general area ... rather Drive with Faster Excavator Ground Speed to other Jobsites Versus loading onto Trailer Chain Secure drive 1/4 mile and Unload = to any and all who may view this comment = Your thoughts comments
