Great videos, enjoyed watching them. You should add a link to them on the Sealine forum. (iI'm Father Ted on the forum). I have done one side of the rubber seals myself, just the other side to do. Also need to re-do the silicon.

You're braver than me I didn't want to risk it for fear of window breakage. Good news though galea and thunder storms and no leaks from the window any more just the sorry ass excuse for a canopy now

@@DavesBoat The bottom seal on the side window was an issue, it was glued in and recessed. The 2 diagonal seals just pulled out easily. Breaking the glass is certainly a worry, they are priceless (lol). You should certainly put the details of the ex-Trend guy on the Sealine forum. My windscreen will also need doing and this is certainly a challenge.

Another great informative video Dave, how long did that take to complete. Looks like a fiddly job. Hope you and the wife are feeling much better now. Keep the videos coming

First day was 8:30 am until about 19:00 2nd day was 8:00 until about 16:00 so long ass days. Fiddly yes but the main issue was just the sheer quantity of old silicone on there and where someone previously had attempted to stop it leaking not by replacing the seals and doing it properly but rather just splurging more onto it all :( so there was lots of cleaning out and scraping to get it all off. Only problem now is all the seals everywhere else on the boat look like crap so i'm going to have to go fix them all now too 😂

Hi Dave, thanks for the very informative videos. Looks like I may have the same problem re window seals on my Sealine. What is the name of the company you used to fix it? Thanks in advance - Carl

@@kevinwells768 Thats one of the things though I'm hoping to prove untrue or true either way and so far its completely untrue. They're not that expensive and easily affordable for anyone that is looking at a car in the 40-60k range. If you have some very basic ability and aren't too full of yourself, to roll up your sleeves and do small jobs/cleaning yourself many of the large costs can be avoided.

@@DavesBoat Cheers Dave. I am enjoying watching your vids. We briefly stayed in a flat overlooking the harbour a few years a go, so that brigs back some memories. Thinking of selling my toy car at some point, for a boat, and if that goes ahead really don't want to shell out like other boaters do. I joined a few on-line forums, and seems most motorboaters just 'pay a man' to sort things out (sailors seem more likely to get their hands dirty) , for what often seems like pretty easy stuff to me, but what do I know? Be particularly interested to learn about the running costs of twin engines and your servicing plans. Serving those KAD Pentas doesn't look that difficult to me, but again, zero experience in that area. Keep up the good work!
