Dear BaldTheBuilder, thank you for your video. Ours failed the same way three days ago, and we just fixed it this morning by removing the door switch. We are glad that we didn't have to put it in the landfill. It is our favorite toaster oven too.

Our function switch failed and couldn’t quite figure out how to get the box apart until I saw your video. Figured it out from there. $20 part and two hours (including some cleaning). Saved couple hundred. Thanks for posting.

You don't really have to remove the back to get to the door switch. I was able to remove just enough screws from the left side to pry the side outward enough to bypass the switch.

Nice video. For my oven, only the toast switch works, is it the switch on the far left that's bad? Thanks.

Hi . I have the same oven brand new and it doesnt hold temperature . If i set to say 400 degrees it just keeps climbing up to 500 and beyond ???? I put a thermoworks temperature gauge inside to test the accuracy .

If it's brand new ,just return it. Thermostat inside is not working most likely.

Ours just quit working today, the plug is partially melted. Is it possibly overloading my house’s electrical system?
@baldthebuilder2588

It shouldn't be ,unless house is really old. Electrical Breakes should prevent it

@@baldthebuilder2588 I shouldn’t think so, that’s why I asked. House was built in 1978. I got it working again and test ran it, the plug blades get really hot. I’m thinking maybe the outlet is worn out. It was the switch not engaging that made it quit.

We have a different Cuisinart toaster oven, a TOB 1010 with just a push start/start button that won't come on. I've taken it apart to where I can see the control panel. Can you help with where to diagnose next? THX
