Hey Mate, love the videos! Tech question re Panhard rod length and overall mount deign. Why do different OEs do it slightly differently even within their own models. Is there variables other than packaging that would cause this? For example 79 series is out board of the rail and is longer on the drivers side upper mount than 80 /105 series that is within the rail. both have a similar lower mount locations Suzuki and Nissan also have their own ideas on it all. Have the 79 and current Jimny gone longer in attempt to help with bump steer? or is there other factors at play also? Thank You!

Also have questions re coil over placement in regard to centre line of the diff any concern with roll and bush wear in the radius arms as in a standard setting the coil is over the centre line of the housing.

As a land surveyor who does a lot of scanning in my line of work it’s quite interesting to see scanners used in the automotive engineering space too. It’s exactly the same process scan the building/structure then modelled in CAD for design work.

How you do you convert graphics body into a solidworks solid body? Do you sketch over the scanned data and extrude to match the profile of the scanned data? Do you have to do a lot of mesh manipulation and conversion to achieve this?

I don’t convert it to a solid body. Just sketch over the scanned data and make a profile!
