This was the best video yet. Im a full on geography nerd but for some reason had never looked into the history behind the designs of flags themselves. Particulatly of the smaller European nations etc. Really interesting.

They are missing something very important about Greece's flag .It has 9 horizontal lines, and this is on purpose .They symbolise the syllables that mean in English Freedom or death (Ελευθερία ή Θάνaτος [ eleftheria i thanatos ] ) so when you spell this it's 9 syllables .

The fastest recorded reading speedrun for a book is a record held by American Adam atomic who completed a Harry Potter novel in 1 hour, 57 minutes and 4 seconds. The feat was achieved in February 2014 when Adam attended an event at Lincolnshire, Illinois that would allow the fastest reader to break the break the record for completing a novel. During his reading marathon, Adam could read through approximately 423 pages, roughly 8200 words per minute. To this day, Adam's record stands as the fastest speedrun of a book to date.

Recently under one of your videos I wrote that I give a sub but I forgot to do it :D Today I'm fixing that mistake! Pozdrawiam z Krakowa! ;) A few years ago I was in central England, Burton up ot trent, if I didn't twist the name. What caught my eye was the friendliness of the people, and in a place where Poles were plentiful... It was a little different in the workplaces where I worked with agencies. We were required to do a lot more than the "locals" :)

Burton upon* Trent :) British people are generally very friendly, especially in Wales and the North of England. Where I live there is a town nearby called Llanelli where 5% of the population is Polish :) I hear Polish in the street all the time, it's a beautiful language. In Llanelli, most people speak Welsh as their 1st language, so due to the high number of Polish speakers, English is the 3rd language there :) There is a Polish builder working on the house next door to me. I had a chat with him one day and he speaks English with a Welsh accent because he has lived here and picked up the local accent really well. It's amazing to listen to!

@@WelshASMR82Maps Sorry "..upon" i never learn ENG lang in shool. Thats why is bad. I learn only from games, and internet. I think ur Polish is better like my English :D This message i write alone (no use translator) and i think u understund but u see my eng is not best in the world :D I used a translator below. Referring to what you wrote that people in the UK are friendly, this is of course true. But imagine a world without politicians. It would probably be "more peaceful"...

Hey great vid as always I just watched your southern france video kzitem.info/news/bejne/lo1m1p5ognh0lYIsi=adGWy_GymmmdkTgB as I am a french southerner. I live in Aix en Provence. Absolutely stunning city and region (provence) (you should definitely come visit sometime). Aix and Marseille are two pearls in France imo. And Marseille's got a great football team&stadium which I've come multiple times to and is absolutely magnificent ! Anyways, you mispronounced some of the city names, so I wanted to let you know that Aix is pronouced "èx", juste like in "Aigre" or Excel. (Also in the north they pronounce words like Excellent or Lait with that same tone although in the south of france we say "éxellent" and "lé".) Also a lot of towns in the region have their silent letters pronounced like Ensuès-la-Redonne pronounced "an su èsse", Cassis "Ka 6"or Bouc-Bel-Air "bouk". Also I cant help but request another video about southern France haha

Indonesia's flag is strikingly similar to that of Monaco, except the field of the flags are arranged in opposite positions. Indonesia's flag has two horizontal bands of red and white, the red being the top stripe and the white below. The Monaco flag, however, has two horizontal bands of red and yellow, with the red being the bottom stripe and the yellow above. Both the flags also has a white star within a circle of blue. Therefore, this symbolic combination is shared between the two countries.

Italy has a long and proud history, with many different languages spoken throughout its territory. One of the oldest languages spoken in Italy is Latin, which has been used in many of the regions for hundreds of years, from the liturgical language of the Roman Catholic Church to the basis for Romance languages like Italian and Catalan. Latin is still used in some parts of Italy, mostly in rural communities in Tuscany and other parts of the country where it is a part of the regional dialect. Another old language of Italy is Etruscan, an extinct language that was spoken in Central Italy from around 800 BC to 100 BC by the Etruscan people. While the language is no longer spoken today, its influence can still be seen in the many Etruscan ruins found throughout Italy.

Portugal is considered to be the most successful of all European colonial empires. During their long and distinguished history, the Portuguese have established a variety of worldwide empires. These include the Portuguese Empire in the 16th century, who gained control over parts of Africa, South and East Asia, and the Americas. Domestically, Portugal was the first European nation to establish a colonial empire, known as the Lusitanian Empire, which spanned Africa, Brazil, India, and parts of the East Indies. Imperial Portugal officially ended its overseas empire with the independence of East Timor in 1999.

Portugal's national flag is a rectangular bicolor featuring a two-tone green and red design. The green signifies hope, while the red is a reference to the heroism of those who were killed fighting for the nation's independence. At the left edge of the flag is an armillary sphere - an ancient navigational instrument - while a white shield at the center features five small blue escutcheons representing the five Moorish kings who conquered the land. Additionally, the shield has seven castles and five small shields to symbolize the eight provinces that make up the nation.

Italy and the Republic of San Marino share a similar flag, largely due to their close ties. Both flags feature a red, white, and green horizontal tricolour. While the exact colours differ slightly, the design is largely the same and includes the efficient distribution of 3 vertical bands of equal width. The green symbolizes hope, the white represents faith, and the red evokes charity. Italy's flag also features the Emblem of Italy in the centre, while San Marino’s symbol is the coat of arms of the republic. However, the two countries also differ in certain ways as well. While Italy is a member of the European Union, San Marino is not and is considered an independent microstate.
