The Flagstaff Model Railroad Club is located in the Coconino County Fairgrounds, which is located at the old Ft. Tuthill in Flagstaff, Arizona. This club occupies one of the old dining halls at the fort, and has been in the same location for nearly 50 years.
The layout is primarily HO scale, representing a fictional bridge route between Phoenix, Az. and Ogden, Ut, with it's main base of operations in Flagstaff. There is also an HOn3 section, and a loop of N scale against the back wall helps provide forced perspective.
The club is open for visitation during it's weekly club meetings, typically on Thursday Evening. They also try and have an open house one Saturday Morning a month. Lately it's been the second Saturday from 10:00 am until noon.
The Coconino County Fair is held each year over the 4 days of Labor Day Weekend. The club is open for viewing during the entire fair, and can see up to 10,000 visitors over the 4 days. Club members bring their own trains to run, which makes for quite the variety of equipment.
This video was filmed during the 2022 County Fair, and during the few months afterwards.
