I just found this, and what wonderful video. We used to Holiday up ay Crows Nest farm near Cayton Bay, back in the 50's . That coastline always had fishing boats coming and going, you could watch them from the Cliff tops and wonder what they may have caught. Thousands of sea birds following them and swooping around us kids, it was a bit risky, they were like bombers. There was no problem getting great fish and chips, and fresh sea food of every kind. Such fond memories, love to visit that area whenever I get the chance. Thank You

Absolutely loved watching that. I used to stay in a friend's old fisherman's cottage on post office street and often walked up to north landing and it's like another world. Fantastic people in Flamborough and sadly they don't make many people like that anymore 😢😢. Great little pub's aswell but my favourite is the dog and duck 👍 👌

I'll agree with that, just had a week at Thornwick bay, all the village pubs are great, but my favourite is the dog and duck too. Special mention for the Viking, so much better than it was a few years ago

I remember Robert. Always on the North landing. Sold us many a crab for shop in Scarborough. But was hell of a drive to get them. Always told me he was related. He was like this in real life. Grandad was a Mainprize from Filey who's grandad was a Flamborpugh fisherman. Grandads aunt was a Mainprize an married a Major from Flamborough. So many inter twined. Robert must be sadly missed at Headend.
