Not to be missed. Just wonderful that five of the six paintings exhibited by Lord Leighton at the 1895 Royal Academy show could be reassembled for viewing, and the idea of enlarging the contemporary photo of the six paintings, to show that we are seeing the paintings in the same format as in 1895 is inspired. Thank you to Leighton House Museum and the owners of the paintings - a beautiful show.

This is a terrifying story. I feel like she could have been lost forever at more than one juncture.

Saw her in PR in one of my trips back home to visit family (I'm from San Juan, the museum is in Ponce). The video doesn't do it justice.

"...shipped across the Atlantic to become the Mona Lisa of the southern hemisphere..." Puerto Rico is in the northern hemisphere, we are not even close to the equator. SMH

Leighton died in 1896 but one of his paintings (0:42) was finished in... 1898
It is really difficult to understand why the painting was not bought by a British museum when offered. Even if it is 'Victorian' it is very beautiful. Beautifully made video.Thank you!
