I remember playing this on the megadrive. I must have been about 10. I actually got stuck in one part and ended up writing and posting a letter to the game developers asking what I had to do and they kindly responded. Crazy that all you have to do now is Google 😆

It took me almost 25 years to revisit this game and I finally beat it. As a kid it was way too hard and I could only envy the screenshots on the box since I couldn’t get past the first stage. Thanks for the walkthrough saved me a lot of frustration. Cheers!

This was just amazing, the natural body movement was a massive breakthrough. I loved that it was mostly silent and not like an arcade game that blasted you with music constantly. When those lone piano notes gave you a clue of upcoming danger, it made the atmosphere electric. Thanks very much for posting this; I still have the game but not the console so this was a really nice trip down memory lane and video game evolution.

This game was so (is) so mysterious, unique and cool. One of my all time favorites. New consoles should make games in this style. A 2D scroller just like this with all its glory but with much more to see and do.

One of the 16-bit era's best games! The pass-through-the-wall cheating trick saves you SO MUCH time! (stand back next to wall, start running, immediately stop, turn back and run through the wall) Especially useful during the Tower of Death level.

I was a Nintendo kid growing up so I never got to play this growing up, but now I love and collect all kinds of video games and want to pass them on to my kid, so after 25 years after it's release, I'm now doing my first playthrough of Flashback and using this video as a help guide. @@RMoocher Still got my SNES copy from my local video shop which was closing down in the mid 90s due to Blockbuster's rising dominance. Mature SNES games are so cool because Nintendo rarely let them on the platform and it predated the legal game age rating system.

Back in 1993, on the Sega Genesis, I got stuck at around 1:00:00 and never finished it. Now it’s on mobile and I can finally beat it. My childhood will be complete.

I’ve just played Flashback for the first time this week and realized how much Oddworld’s creators took from this game. It’s not just about the character’s moves which are identical to Abe’s, but even some enemies and scenarios (jungle). Mindblowing!

I was 10 when I first plated this game, it was my favourite game even when I had know idea what I was doing. It was way too advanced for me. I also remembered figuring out on my own that I could walk through walls. My brother didn't believe me, and I remembered spending about a week (in kids times) It took a long time to figure out how to do it again, I can't remember what I told my brother.

This was the first pc game I owned as a kid in the early 90s. It came on 2 x 3.5" floppy disks. Watching this brings back so many memories so thanks for the upload

Played this game so many hours. Finished this bye the way. This game was one of few where you actually needed to thing before act. Memorise the areas. Loved the cut scenes. There was nothing like it back then. Except this game.

One of the best games of my childhood, played it on Amiga 500 and could not pass the first level because everything was in French ... what I would do back then to see the walkthrough! My neighbour found out passcode to the next level, we didn't know how to jump up to Ian's place :( Now I'm playing on PSP and I can't pass the damn reactor lol thank you very much for this video!

Awesome game. I love it how the plot stops 1/3 of the way in and you have to find a job to save enough to enter a game show, then win the gameshow to get your ticket. Then at the 2/3 mark, the plot continues. Longest sidequest ever!

You can get the Sega CD ROM which has the sequel where you play as the alien companion. I had that. Earthworm Jim on Sega CD was the best version, too!

This game was very "mature" in every aspect: the storyline, the gameplay, the graphics. It wasn't your typical platformer or beat them up. That's why it never was too popular or famous.

Yeah people forget how much gaming was dominated by kids and kids marketing. This game was more successful as a computer game which had an older audience which could afford a computer. Nintendo also highly censored and restricted mature games on the NES and SNES, it's amazing that this game did get released on the SNES.

Only Sega developed games were included in this pack. They didn't have the rights for anything else. Be glad you have the last legal release of Sonic 3 and Knuckles ever release though!

I am playing it on Nintendo Switch(Yes a remastered version!) and thought in level 1 before saving, you see a platform when rising to top you hear a glass crashing sound, and thought it's a easter egg/secret. Do you know any way to get on that?

I used to hate the mission at 23:30 where you had to race the clock against the reactor that was going to explode. That mission was fucking nerve wracking! But totally awesome!

I loved this game when I played so long ago. I remember the trick I used to beat the final mission. I left the transporter right at the ship. When beat or set off the bomb I do not remember which now. Then I just used the transporter and step on the ship to escape.
