Clear as mud. Can the voice is muddled too. Why would you decrease engine out in conditions where you need more?

The engine power output decreases naturally due to increase in atmospheric temperature. The flat rating guarantees a certain amount of thrust up to a particular atmospheric temperature e.g 30 degrees celcius.

@@RoddyMcNamee No the power doesn't decrease naturally due to an increase in atmospheric pressure.

Hello Roddy! I just did not get what happens when the temperature overcomes 30 degrees c in this case. Is the fuel increased?
@RoddyMcNamee

No, the thrust decreases. So on very warm days the aircraft might not be able to take off at max take-off weight.

No. Above the corner point température (30deg C) in this case, thé fuel is reduced which is the reason why the thrust decreases. This is done to prevent overheating the engine. This is not the easiest way to explain the relationship between thrust, fuel burn, and engine temperature (EGT). There are some videos on the CFM website explaining this. Showing a chart saying flat thrust with a line constantly going down is not helpful, if I may 😊
