That might be the most stylist paddle up I've ever seen.

Well done! I've been thinking about those larger MA foils for flat water and dock starts. I was between the MA1475 and MA1750, now leaning toward the larger size. I wonder if starting on flat water would work as well with hand paddles?

You definitely good do a hand paddle start but get a long narrow board +20 to 30L above your weight in kg.

Hey, I just tried sup foiling on flatwater with the 115l version of the Duotone Downwinder and the Fanatic high aero aspect 2000 wing for the first time, but after a couple strokes the board immediately turns and doesn’t go straight. I have a 75cm mast, so it’s quite confusing. Any tips?

Sorry I missed this comment. Hope not too late to reply. If you cannot keep a board straight it is due to your paddle technique. You have to learn good sup paddling technique first before even thinking of flat water paddling up a foil. Have a google and look up paddling a sup straight with J stroke technique :)

Great video @Mickfoil1 I am a 100Kg rider, wing on HS1550 v2 and HA1125 on my 99l FG. Looking to get into downwind and sup foiling small waves. Got a 7'7" DW board. Do you think the MA1750 would be good for both? Or the HA1550? Thanks
@Mickfoil1

Hi, sorry I have been away for work :) I assume you mean HA1525? Definitely m1750 is perfect for light wind winging and downwind sup foiling for your weight. If you want more speed the ha1525 is even better although you lose the turning ability

How wide/long/thick is your board to make it 107l?? Currently attempting to shape my own but in the dark about how much volume it has. Very curious, thx!

Just the standard production Armstrong 107L board which is 7'2 x 20 1/4 :)

Sick! I’ll get there one day… Where do you have the mast positioned on the track? I have the same setup… “pumped”!

Hey. For this foil almost all the way back. Around 1 or 2 is where it is most balanced

Nice! Thank you for the footage.. have you tried the larger HA wings to flat water start? I have the 1000 and 1225, great for surfing, and looking forward to getting the larger ones too.. 👍🏽. I’m 205lbs.. just bought the 7’7” and am nearly the same weight as you. Haven’t tried it yet, hopefully not too big…🤞 What do you think…?

Depends on your SUP experience but no harm sizing up! Will only make it easier having more volume! And yes I have paddled up the ha1525 as well on flat. Next goal is the ma1450 flat water and ha1325...

I weigh 198lbs/90KG just got a 107 L armstrong dw board mainly for lightwind.. but want to try flat water standup with no experience in that.. intermediate experience winging. I have a 1750 MA and 220 glide and 85cm mast. I have found the 107 to probably be too small for me, but i see you make it work. What i do have is determination and fit for 56 yrs old. How big of a difference would 1880 APF make in this journey? 72cm Mast? I am pretty sure more flotation would help a lot. Waiting for it to warm up just a bit.. 9 degrees F this morning in alaska. DO you think i should make the somewhat costly investment in the APF? Seems like it overlaps a bit with 1750 MA.

Hey! Definitely no overlap with the 1880apf. The 1880 has extreme low end and slow speed easy pumping. The ma1750 is harder to pop up and better top end, designed for light wind winging . Whereas rbe 1880 for dockstarts/flat water pumping!

Sir - I weigh 70-72kg and am looking for a good foil system for FW paddle up practice and alpine lake downinding . I have an Armstrong 7'7" DW Board ... but am wondering If the MA 1750 will be too advanced for me to start with? If so - what Axis foil would you recommend? Thanks, - R
@Mickfoil1

Depends on your experience level...what have you been riding so far?. Yes Axis is easier with the low end (axis 1150 or 1300) but if you already have an armstrong setup then stick with with that and go MA1750. Armstrong ma1750 has less drag and more top end and better turning that the equivalent PNG . Also some patience and Armie will have more foils too choose am sure ;)
