The Derby Historical Museum hosted a concert by Flatland Breeze on July 4 after the Derby Independence Day Parade as part of the museum's 100-year celebration series. In this video, the band performs "Man of Constant Sorrow."
The 5-member band includes Edward Fontes, acoustic guitar and vocals; Vance Denton, electric guitar, acoustic guitar and mandolin; Ian Knickrehm, upright and electric bass; Eli Hill on the banjo and drums; and Dylan Roe on the fiddle and vocals. Roe, Hill, and Denton are Derby High School (DHS) graduates. Knickrehm is a current student at DHS, and Edward Fontes is a Marine Corps veteran who is originally from Washington state and lives in Wichita.
