So happy flea market season is upon us! Thank you for sharing all your goodies! I love watching you flip through your vintage/antique magazines and books - especially the children's books. So, don't worry on my behalf on taking your time! lol I loved the little bag of ephemera as well. And, I wish I had a full set of those sheets! Hope you have a wonderful day, Carolyn

My favorite things are the embroidered linens and the Sunday school cards. I have big pictures framed that my mother used in her Sunday school class in the 1950's. They're beautiful and I love them. They are like big Sunday school cards. The pictures are beautiful on these. You got some beautiful and really great things today. The linens are like some I have that my grandmother's embroidered many many years ago. I could never part with them!

Loved all the linens and Sunday School cards. MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE IS THAT DIARY❤️❤️❤️ What a cool little glimpse of a time during someone's life from the 1920's. I have never heard of an album to collect matchbook covers. Cool find.

You always seem to find some amazing pieces. I can't believe how cheap they are. I'm in B.C. Canada, and stopped going to the big flea market ,close to me, because the prices are ridiculous. Some of the weekend garage sales are getting out of hand too. After seeing the Antique Roadshow, everyone thinks their stuff is worth more than what it is !!😄 Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful day.

Winnipeg Manitoba here! Nice to see another Canadian! We don’t have many flea markets here. Lots of yard sales. Great deals at the nonprofits second hand stores. I’ve purchased a bunch of things from all over Winnipeg in pass 5 years. I No longer purchase journal things. Miss it! I collect jewelry now. ❤

I am originally from Winnipeg. Moved here in 1971, as a kid. I forgot about the non profit stores, and church flea markets. Thank you for reminding me.

I love looking at your antique hauls! That $10. package of goodies was amazing! I was hoping you would keep reading the travel diary! They had to sell things for gas &food!! Just imagine! Most of us can't imagine not being able to eat when we're hungry. And what year was that? Tell me they didn't go through all of that to get to Oklahoma during the dust bowl years of 1930-1936! That's part of why vintage and antique things are so fascinating to! I just learned that Ken Burns has been collecting antique quilts all these years! He's finally displaying them publicly for the first time! It looks like an amazing exhibit! I forget the details right now. Thanks for sharing your treasures with us!❤

The family traveled to Oklahoma in the 1920s. So maybe they had to go to California when the dust storms hit!

Diane: there is nothing more enjoyable than seeing what you brought home from one of your shopping trips. Everything is my favorite. The collectives are super great back where you live. We use to have them, but the rents are too high now around here. There are very few now. However, I did just find a small vintage store, close to home last week. It is owned by a woman who is delightful. I’ll be going back there soon. Haha. Carol from California

Leave the stains and leave the smell. That’s the best part of vintage. And boy oh boy, if my husband and I are ever over your way I must find “The Barn”. It looks so fun. You always come out with such great finds

If you and your husband are in my area, I will meet you at "The Barn"! If you want to google it, it's called Tioga Downs Antique Marketplace, in Nichols, NY

I love the directory!!! Could you put washi tape around the zip lock bag where you are going to sew? It would make it sturdy and not slippery. Worth a try.🥰🥰🥰

What nice finds! I love that travel diary -- Diane, you mentioned a town in Oklahoma in both the diary and the address book. Do you think the little leather address book could be related to the diary? So,1926, those folks sounded like itinerant workers, esp when you mentioned Oklahoma. I was thinking Dust Bowl Era and the novel Of Mice & Men. But I googled and that was the 30s. I want to know more! I also loved the tablecloths you found. My mother had linen tablecloths like the last one you showed. Really elegant.

I’m from Oklahoma and was watching this video. I had never heard of Bessie, Oklahoma as was mentioned in the old diary you read. I had to look it up. It’s a small town in Washita County with a population of 181. Small but obviously has a long reach.

The Magic Roundabout was originally French, but it was the actress Emma Thompson’s father who brought it to England and used his own voiceover for the BBC. It was absolutely wonderful and extremely popular over here in the UK in the 70’s.
